Hi all Dec. 08 Losers,

I am doing absolutely wonderful.

1.  Wt loss is 77 lbs

2. Can eat just about everything, but tend to eat too fast.

3. I feel great, both emotionally, and physically

4.  Started at a size 30-32  and now wear a size 22 or 20

5. Same regret as everyone else, just wish I could have done it sooner.

HAPPY 4 MO. SURGIVERSARY TO US ALL!!!

I've been eating salads for about six weeks and haven't had any problems.  I just make sure I've got enough protein mixed in (chicken, cheese, eggs).

I've hit a few stalls that have lasted 3-4 weeks and it's absolutely maddening!  Last month I only lost 6 pounds and I almost started crying at the doctor's office.  I know 6 pounds is nothing to sneeze at, but when I'd been averaging about 15-20 pounds a month it's a little disheartening.  I tend to weigh myself more often when I'm stalled out too...which does not help at all!

I've been sending my stuff to Goodwill, it's tax deductable so that's cool.

Now that spring has sprung and I'm down 4 sizes I have to fight the urge to buy every little cute thing I find.  I just have to keep reminding myself that (hopefully) I'll keep dropping sizes and whatever I buy now won't fit in a month or so.  I've been shopping mostly at Old Navy.  They've got great basics at cheap prices.

1. How is the weight loss coming? 80 lbs

2. How is the eating? I can eat pretty much anything...and that makes me nervous.

3. How are you feeling? I've hit a stall, so I'm kind of bummed out...but when I stop sulking and look at the big picture, I'm thrilled.

4. What size have you gone from? 26 to 18.

5. Any regrets? Not doing it sooner.

Topic: RE: 3 week long stall?
I'm so glad to see others about the same time out as me experiencing these stalls. I'm a little frustrated because I'm only 30 pounds away from my goal and have started losing about 1 pound/week in the past 2 weeks. It's annoying as hell!

I've gone from a size 22 to a size 8 in 4 months, so I should be happy with that, but dangit, losing momentum really bums me out. I saw a "MILF" mama at my kid's spring fling at school and it's killing me that I'm not to that status. I want a tummy tuck and boob job so bad right now.

I guess in this world of immediate gratification, it's hard to see things take place slowly. Food used to be that instant gratification. Now it's just shopping for smaller sizes and watching that scale. I've got t stay off the scale for a while, up my protein and water and keep myself going to the gym. I sware, the more I work out, the less I lose, but I know the exercise is going to do wonders for me, so I'm keeping it up.

Let's all let out a big yell in frustration and hopefully this stalling will all be over soon!! Hang in there my fellow Decembers.... we're so going to blow the roof off this weight loss mutha!

Topic: Fat grams
I know that I should know this but I am at work and have none of my informational stuff with me so I thought I would ask here.  How many grams of fat a day should we have?  I have hit a stall for the last 10 days so I am going to start using FitDay to keep track of everything and see what I am doing wrong.  I walk 3 miles everyother day and eat no sweets, but I am afraid I am able to eat to much at a time so I feel I better go back to the basics and start with keeping track of everything. Thanks!

I seem to stay in a stall for about the last 8 or 9 weeks.  I'll lose a few pounds and then nothing for 3-4 weeks.  It is beyond frustrating!!

I didn't have the expectation to lose 35+ pounds per month, but I have certainly expected to lose more than I have.  I seem to be hovering right around 55 pounds.  I am working out 3 times a week (3 more times/week than I did before), being careful about what I eat and getting my fluids in.  Now, that's not to say that I haven't had "forbidden" foods, but I certainly don't go overboard like I used to!  I just don't deprive myself because otherwise I can't stop thinking about it.

In any case... your 70 pounds lost is where I had hoped to be by this point in my journey.  It's just not happening.  I'm trying really hard not to get depressed and feel like I'm an RNY failure.  I keep telling myself that it's my body trying to adjust to this new lifestyle.  But... there are days I just want to cry!

I think it's completely awesome that you're getting in so many workouts!  I have to get up at 4:30 am to fit one in.  Teaching middle school and having young children at home makes evening workouts impossible as I'm exhausted and dealing with the woes of two, young school-aged kids tops it all off!  I think your 70 pounds is a HUGE accomplishment!  I SO wish I were there with you!  Keep up the great work!
