I hope that onederland means under 200 because if it does...I am! I am finally under 200 pounds for the first time in over 8 years and I couldn't be happier.  I checked it last night and this morning and it is still saying the same thing so I am just amazed right now.  I am so excited because I am right on track and just know that I am going to bring 30 in with a bang in August.  Like I said before I am in it to win it and nothing will stop me now!

Hi Stacey,

I Have a different set of rules from my surgeon but I will share them with you even though it is days past when you asked.

I am to choose food that contains less that 30% of its calories from fat, less than 10% of it should be saturated fat and les than 1% of trans fats.  If we stay within this guideline for each of our meals then we don't exceed the fat limits.

You are doing fantastic by the way!

Topic: A big wow moment for me...
I posted this on the general forum as well but I wanted to share with my fellow december surgery people..
Today is 5 months for me.  I am down 75 pounds.  In the past 5 weeks the following has occurred:   1 week with my brother and sister in law (2 meals out), the next week my son, wife and baby came for 4 days... (1 meal out), 3 days later we went on a 4 day cruise (lots of meals out), 1 week later my best friend, her husband and her sister came down to visit (3 dinners, 1 lunch, 1 breakfast out).  Yesterday we had theater tickets with a group of friends, we went out to dinner first.  Living in South Florida we get lots of company and I TREASURE it.  But it has been hell for me to eat out so many times.  And I lost weight, maybe not as much as earlier months, but still 9 pounds.  WoW!!  It's not over yet though,  Mom is coming tomorrow for 1 week, then my niece and sister in law are coming for a week, then my step brother his wife and 2 kids are coming for a week!!  I have a lot of fun and get a lot of exercise and sleep alot after they leave.  But oh the eating out.  I know I can say No, but part of my relearning how to live with this surgery is to learn how to be strong in all situations.  So I am getting very good practice.

If you want to do the math. 6 small meals times 15 grams per serving equals 90 grams per day. that seams a bit high. But I know I am not allowed more than 12- 15 grams per serving. I uauly don't come close to that in any one meal mostof the time.

Hope this helps.

1. How is the weight loss coming? 42 lbs, it's coming off slowly but I am right in line with all the others that had the clinical trial.

2. How is the eating? good, I can eat almost everything just nothing sugary

3. How are you feeling? I feel great, it's amozing how much moer energy I have now. I'm loving being able to run around at the park with the kids.

4. What size have you gone from? I have no clue... I am still wearing my size 25 jeans - even though I need a belt, because I just don't want to go get new clothes yet.

5. Any regrets? None, although I wish I was losing faster - but really since my insurance wouldn't cover WLS, I am just happy I got to be apart of the clinical

Meet the Surgeon Aug 1, 2011 .... hopefully the surgeons office is right and everything will go fast and I'll have surgery later this month.
