I just realized it! Today is my surgiversary! I am down a solid 98 pounds and this last 2 pounds to get me to 100 is hanging on for dear life.  Happy to report that I feel great and I am still happy I made this decision.  10 year olds are about 95 pounds right?

I hear you loud and clear.  I have been out to eat a few times, and the entree usually last me two or three more meals afterwards, depending on the portion.  I concentrate on conversation and the waiters usually look at me and are probably thinking there is something wrong with the food.  I had a waiter come to the table to check 4 times to make sure I was okay with the food.  I had a piece of salmon once that was so big my wife and I shared it for the next two days.  Enjoy your company the food is secondary. I wish you continued success!

I was going to pm you but you are private.  I left the philly area in 05.  I had the surgery a week after you.  I am 4 lbs heavier than you.  My goals are near identical to yours.  It must be the philly air.  I have to go up at least 4 times a yr just to re-center myself.

I am 5'10" and really truly have a large frame.  I believe about 170 was on the upper end of "normal"' for my frame, so that is what I personally was aiming for.  My surgeon suggested to me that I aim for 165 - he would say 150 but he thinks I would look anorexic at that weight.  Personally, if I can get under 200 I'll be thrilled, but I would like to get to 170 or under if I can.

I didn't have a goal weight given to me until my 4 month checkup - I still have a long way to go, so there was no hurry.  I just hope I will be able to maintain my weight when I do get there.

For some reason I thought the Prilosec was for life.  Maybe I am wrong, but I plan on staying on it until my doctor tells me differently.  I use the generic version - Omaprazole (sp?) - I haven't had any stomach burning feelings at all.

Thank you and I just know you are going to be where I am very soon too!  We can definitely compare notes and when you follow his plan the excess weight has and does fall off.  I'm going to put more pics up around my 5 month surgiversary.
My goal 135; current 132;  pre-op highest 285; I have lost more than I weigh...  I my RNY!
