yes you are right, the compliments are so tough.  I can take them easily from people here on the board because they understand.  But it takes alot of getting used to. I hope everything works out well with your blood work.

Well I had my 6 month anniversary on Friday and had my 6 month check up the same day.  I have been feeling lightheaded and dizzy the last 2 weeks so we decided to do some blood work to test my levels.  I haven't heard back yet but should know something soon.  So far I have lost a total of 104.8 pounds!  I can't believe it!  I feel so much better about myself and my life in general.  I have been in a constant good mood for the last few months.  Even when my husband was laid off and we didn't know how we were going to pay the rent I stayed positive and kept on track as far as food. I am not use to the compliments I have been getting lately.  Don't know how to handle them because I haven't gotten very many before in my life.  Oh well I will still take em!  Good job to everyone on here also!  You all look fantastic!!

Wow... first of all you look fantastic.  Secondly, I wish someone would tell me that I shouldn't lose more weight.  Even with 81 lost they don't notice much.  But that is ok.   Congrats to you!!

Well at 5 months and a week out I still check this board a couple times a week, though I don't post much and don't see as much activity. I do try to check the RNY and main forums since they seem to be more active, but I love my December surgery sisters and brothers!

I'm very very happy with my tool! Like you, wouldn't change a thing. But, something irritating is going on around me... I'm starting to hear from people, "Don't lose anymore weight!" or "You are getting too skinny!" or "When are you going to stop losing weight?" which is beyond irritating to me as it seems so far from the truth. If you compare me from last year to this year, I've lost a supermodel- 112 pounds to be exact! I have 31lbs until I get to my goal, and I don't feel "skinny." My BMI is still obese (and will be for another 8lbs) but I'm getting tired of hearing these comments. Anyone got a good response to this that I can borrow? Then I start to wonder if my self-image is in need of adjustment... what I see in the mirror and what other people see seems to be off sometimes. What I see here is a nice, shapely woman with curves, not someone "too skinny", what do you think?

Anyhoo, life is great (aside from that minor annoyance) and I wouldn't change a thing about my RNY! I work out 5 days a week, have no hunger, and I'm in a routine with my supplements! I'm losing 10-15lbs per month and feeling on top of the world!

As time goes on I notice that we are less frequently visiting this board.  Probably are on other boards.  But since we are all in this together, let's update - good, bad and ugly!
Here goes.  My 6 months was on Thursday.  I feel great but not without the struggle.   I am so disappointed that I have such a big appetite after this surgery.  My husband had it last year and he is never hungry.  I wake up hungry.  Yes, some of it is probably head hunger, but some of it is real hunger.  I can eat much more than I thought I would be able to.  My weight loss has slowed down considerably the last 2 months.  I am losing about 4 pounds a month.  Don't like that.  I am exercising daily but I can only swim because of my knee issues. I take all of my supplements and I get in about 80oz of liquid a day.  I guess it is just me.  BUT - I wouldn't change anything about this.  It is my journey.  I love it and I am so happy to have done it.  It is scary though to know that my lifelong battle is going to continue. So that's it for now.
Chime in everyone!!!

Hello and congratulations,  I am doing well, I've lost about 85 lbs and will hit my 6 mo on the 18th.  I was hoping to be at 100 lbs by then, but seem to be stuck/stalled the last month at 220, can't make that darn scale move for anything.  I still have about 60 lbs to reach my ultimate goal, and know that I will make it, but these stalls are frustrating!!! Again, congrats to you.

Congrats to you!  I have been at a stall for almost a month and I have only lost 85 lbs.  I can't wait to hit that Hundred Milestone. Keep up the good work and hope to see you at that 100 lb. line soon.
