My surgery was the same day, and I am thankful-- I had no real pain and don't have a nasty drain to deal with! Feeling very lucky now!!

Call it "epiphany", call it "divine intervention".. w hatever it is it helped you through and now you're living success of how great recovery can be!!! I'm so very happy that you're well, still upbeat and feeling great! (Or as great as you can be when your insides have been completely rearranged! lol)
I'm not looking forward to the clear liquids I'm on tomorrow or the lovely "bowel prep" that will make me miss the last Sunday of Advent services in addition to missing Christmas services at my church.. but, I think of how many more I will have to celebrate because of this!
Get lots of rest, keep moving that gas and I'll hopefully be sending an "I'm home" post just like yours!

Wow veggies, I'm on strictly clear liquids 3 weeks , was banded Thurs, I'm not hating, good luck and Happy Holidays
Topic: RE: Any December Lap Banders
Hello, Congrats on your surgery date, I got my band Thursday 12/18/08, and i didn't have any problems and or set backs so far, my clear liquid diet was a little longer than I thought it would be 3 weeks, then 3 weeks on solid liquids, so it will be a while for any solids, my pain level has been more than tolerable, basically, i felt as though I done a lot of sit-ups my port area is a little tender, but i feel full, even though I read and read and did my homework, bought the books etc...leaning to sip, and eat slowly will be my biggest challenge I think, but anyway Happy Holidays and God bless you and your Journey

Ten more days for us!!!!!! Did you have a last meal before you started your pre-op diet? I have been counting down for a couple weeks now... almost counting into single digits, woohoo!

Does your tummy have a sort of constant unsettled feeling? MIne does, and I wi**** would go away already. Before surgery I could always tell if tummy feeling were gas, constipation, PMS cramps, now I can't tell what's going on. Sometimes rumbly feeling. Just wondering how you guys who are about a week out are feeling these days.
