Well, I call myself the resident slow loser on the Dec boards.  I have lost a total of 78 pounds.  I am 2 pounds away from onderland and I swear I don't think I'll ever get there.  I have gotten away from protien shakes but even when I had over 100 gr of protien a day I was a slow loser.  Exercise doesn't change that either.   In the last 2 months I have lost 10 pounds.  I am still a dumper.  Anything over 15 gr of sugar or anything fried and I'm a dead woman.  I have increased my vitamin regimine to include probiotics which I do think help with weightloss.  I take gummy vitamins (adult ones) and chewy bites.  I can't stand the chalky texture of other chewables and pills get stuck still.  I am currently fitting comfortably in a 14 but can get 12's on...it's just not pretty.  Muffin top galore.  I have decided to re-adjust my goal weight to 175.  Anything under that is just gravy.

Just wanted to see how all my surgery buddies are doing. What's changed? Better or worse? Share anything you'd like.

Also, how much have you lost since surgery? Are you to goal already?

For some reason I can't get my damn body to lose 100lbs. I've been stuck at 94lbs for 2 months now. I feel very discouraged.

Topic: RE: going on a cruise
Hi

I went on a cruise in May when I was 5 months out.  It really wasn't that difficult because there are so many choices.  Yes there were more things that I really wanted to eat but chose not too.
I stuck with fish, chicken, eggs for breakfast, veggies. I had turkey burgers.  It was ok.  But when you get off the ship on an island (depending on where you are going, make sure you take something with you because some islands where a little tough).  I packed protein bars with me.

But, communicate to your server.  They got me sugar free low fat ice cream, sugar free pudding and other dessert options so that I was eating with everyone else.  I find if you just talk to them, then they are very accomodating.

Hope you have a great time.

Topic: going on a cruise
going on a cruise next month. I have looked at the menu and see all this food I would have gorged on before and now think I am going to waste it but try some different things. I have talked to some others post op who have gone on a cruise and said there are options and to make sure I just tell my servers that I eat slowly and only a little bit. they have a cheese platter with different cheeses which I know I will be ordering often as cheese and milk are my saving grace of food to eat.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!1  Time flyes by I was complaining about not being down a 100lbs by this time.  But you helped me to see that 93lbs is a blessing.  So thank you for posting and helping me get off my pitty pot

Topic: RE: How often should you weigh?
I am 50/50...I normally weigh in once or twice per week but once a week is better for me...I guess it depends...Once at goal I can see myself weighing in every morning...I would suggest twice per week for now.
