Hey everyone.
Sorry I took so long to reply but geezzzz. Surgery went fine on the 18th. I was up and walking within a few hours. I won't lie, I had some BAD pain but it wasn't constant. I was set to get released from the hospital Sat morning but my bilirubin level had doubled since surgery. My nurse told me that meant my liver had either been traumatized or damaged during surgery. Long story short they kept checking it and it finally went down yesterday morning. I was finally released late in the day. Only problem, I had no where to go. The city my hospital is in was under a blizzard warning. We had 14 inches of snow and 50 mph winds Saturday and Sunday.. We managed to get to the hotel my mom and sis had been hibernating in since my surgery. We spent the night there last night, and I finally made it home today.
The pain has been sporadic, and I used my band wrap alot and kept the drugs flowing. I gained 8 lbs following surgery but have since lost 16. I am struggling with the protein shakes but am getting all my water in. AND I POOPED this morning! First one since my surgery. I felt sssooo much better after that.
OK my drugs are kicking in.. write more tomorrow.. hugs to all and glad to see everyone made it through surgery ok.

Getting out of bed is really bad but try getting stuck in the couch! I actually had to lay on my left side, sort of folded in the couch for 45 minutes til my husband got home from his friend's house. I couldn't reach my cell or the house phone so I laid there...it was actually funny after he rescued me, lol

I am glad that everything went well. I knew you would be okay. I can't wait until I can say I made it through surgery. I have 2 weeks before my surgery date and at times is seems like it is taking forever to get here.
