Hang in there girl! You can do it! I know what a pain it must be, but it's still the best option! Don't worry about wearing it to work, just decorate it and call it your personal Christmas Tree! HeHe!
6 more and counting.......I'll be there with you at the other end to celebrate.

You will be fine. Just relax and take it slow.

You have a lot of people here rooting for you, sending you good vibes and karma.

I had surgery on the 15th and I took my last pain med's on Friday morning (5 days out); there was a little discomfort on Saturday but the medicine made me feel sick so I scrapped that.  I was up and about quite a bit today and I feel great.  Everyone is different, you speak of 2 c-sections, I had my twins by c-section and I thought I would die for about 2 weeks.  The spanx do work, I wore the high waist ones today, be careful when you take them off though.  I have long nails and scratched one of my incisions by mistake.

I have to say and I may not make friends here and I am still learning the process. so please forgive my ignorance.

How does the drain detect a leak. did u go back for a B swallow?

not to mention I didn't have to go for any barium swallow. My surgeon did  a check while I was under with a endoscope. so I didn't feel a thing.

I wonder if she took pics.  I'd like to c wat my insides look like after.

Thanks

Tom

well i had my surgery the 8th also. I am down 16lbs. I have gotten those bad urges too, but they quickly pass. i am able to be on puree diet this week but haven't been able to tolerate more that 1 tablespoon at a time. i am still tired all the time. I have to go back to work on saturday and hope i can make the whole day. each day is a better day though.

I had my surgery yesterday and no drain.  I thought I would definitely puke when I had to do the swallow test though.  YUCK.  Why didn't you all warn me?  heh hehI too would chosen to have the drain vs going in for another surgery.  When it is all over it will be worth it.  Just take it easy and don't fret.

I had my surgery yesterday the 22nd.  I got home late this afternoon.  I had the dry heaves all last night due to the pain meds.  Today I feel like I got kicked in the stomach.  Other than that I feel ok.
