Well now, that is funny! I just thought if I cheated the doctor would know...a little paranoid, huh!
Thanks for your well wishes!
No need for pain meds. I haven't had any since leaving the hospital and I feel fine. I hope that continues. Merry Christmas everyone!
No, my drain was removed the day I was scheduled to leave the hospital. My friend that had her surgery the day after me, had to wear it for 2 weeks per her surgeon's instructions.
Maybe you are having to wear it for that long because of your leak. I don't know but I would think that it would be best to have the leak repaired while you were in the hospital.
I requested a binder while in the hospital and pretty much wore that for about 3 weeks. I was pretty sore for 2 1/2 weeks and then it got better. I slept in the recliner for about 3 weeks because I couldn't sleep on my sides.
Hello and welcome.
What? Wine isn't a liquid? Thank goodness somebody forgot to tell ME!
Wishing you luck and much success!
I'm new to this type of forum. Looks like many are used to blogs, My Space, You Tube, etc. So it may take me a while to get the hang of this.
It is really interesting to see the different tests and pre-op routines everyone has or is going through. I had to start my liquid diet a week before surgery...oh boy, it has been tough going to office parties and other get-together not being able to eat or have a glass of wine. So there I am sipping on water...yum!
I'm a bit nervous but more excited about getting the surgery. And dang - even though my insurance is covering most, I'm still surprised how much money I'm forking out in co-pays, fees, etc. But, I know it is worth it!
Wishing everyone a happy holiday season!
Deborah
So that's my story. However, I am down 17 lbs!
