I am taking 2 children's complete chewable vitamins in the morning.

1 Pepcid AC Chewable twice a day

Roxicet for pain (I'm, attempting today with no pain meds... we'll see how it goes)

I also have a patch for blood pressure

I am told I won't start the B12, Calcium and Ursodol (I still have my gall bladder****il after 6 weeks.  I Need to check on that, though, cuz I'm wondering if I"m wrong about one of those.

I went into the hospital at 255. I gained 8 during surgery taking me up to 263, I am now 239. So I have lost 24 including the 8 I gained.
I have no clue how much you need to lose but I have heard the more you need to lose the faster it comes off.
Are you getting in your liquids?
Don't worry, I am sure yours will just start dropping off fast and you will catch the rest of us.
Hang in there.

I am 12 days PO and have lost 24 lbs. I walk everyday at the mall, I think that helps with the weight loss and gas, and the fact that I eat maybe 30 calories a day!
Congrats to all the December losers .

I got home on Christmas eve as well.  I have been having diarrhea, so no real issues with constipation.  Since Christmas day, I have been getting in 2 oz of a protein beverage (LC EAS), and about 2 oz of water per hour.  Herbal tea and chicken broth stayed down okay.  I haven't tried anything else.  I think I am getting in just over 40oz of fluids per day.

Welcome back!  We were worried about you!

I'm glad they figured out what was going on.  And, knowing your DH is really there for you has to really make you feel cherished.

I got home on Wednesday.  My DH stayed nearby the whole day, in case I need anything or help getting up or whatever.  I imagine he'll go to work part of next week, but I don't know for sure.

I drank a lot of water at the hospital.  At home, I am supposed to keep my liquids to 6 oz per hour or 1 oz every 10 minutes.  I just don't want to be drinking practically every second.  I am managing 2 oz of protein liquid and at least 2 oz of water most hours, unless I am napping.

Take care!  Keep in touch.

I am using Ultram (a pain killer) at least once a day.  I have to cru**** and mix it with a liquid.

I am giving myself 3 heparin shots a day (I don't like that at all)

Two chewable children's mullti vitamins

one chewable b complex

one chewable Tums (for calcium) in berry flavor that is super-concentrated.

I have not needed the patch to control queasiness.

Topic: Gas X strips?
Hi and congrats to all who have had their surgeries and good luck to all that are pre-op!!  I will be having lap RNY on New Year's Eve....tired of this liquid diet already, but I know I have a few more weeks left of it.  I know it will be worth it.
I have a question about the post-op gas....I read some posts that Gas X strips work really well.  Now, are these good for the gas that is trapped in your shoulders etc...?  Or were the folks just referring to normal gas pains?  I want to know, so I can run out and buy some to have on hand for when I get home.
Thanks for the info!!
