Congrats to you on reaching your 2yr anniversary! Mine's tomorrow and I'm still 100% happy I had RNY. 145lbs gone and surpassed goal! I went from a size 24 down to a 4 at my smallest, and nowadays in my 6's and 8's. Loving life! Here's to years more of continued success to us all!
Topic: 2 year mark
Hi everyone! Just wanted to wish everyone a happy and healthy holiday season. Can you all believe it's been 2 years since we did this?!
So glad it's behind and not ahead of me.

Topic: Optifast Diet
I have to be on the Optifast Diet for two weeks prior to my surgery.
Can anyone tell me what my energy level will be like? The only time my boyfriend will be able to visit is the first weekend that I'm on the liquid diet. I just want to get an idea of how much energy I'll have that weekend.
Thanks!

First of all, happy surgery anniversary to you tomorrow! 2 years out, its hard to believe how time has flown. I'm in the same boat with you. I bought 4's and 6's as my wardrobe staple though with the addition of 6lbs and now I'm enjoying my 6's and more 8's again due to "the bounceback." Whooda thunk that 6lbs would make a difference in clothing? Anyway, I feel silly worrying about such a little gain in the grand scheme of things, but the panic has set in and I'm glad to know I'm not alone in this. I haven't tried the 5-day pouch test, because like you, I feel hungry all the time. I can physically feel my pouch empty and soon after that I get a near hypoglycemic reaction meaning I have to eat a/s/a/p and that's also led to bad habits of munching on not so healthy foods. So, I've gone back to journaling my food and getting consistent with my workout regimen again so there's no excuse. Let's support each other in maintenance!
Keep me posted if you do the 5-day pouch test.

Topic: Weight Gain
We are approaching the two year mark - so hard to believe! I did really well with my RNY - I lost 170 pounds and was able to maintain that for 6 monthes. Since May I have gained 10 pounds and starting to panic - I like being a size 6 and have spent a fortune on new clothes! My issue is I now feel hungry all the time - which I really didn't up until the spring. Have any of you tried the 5 day pouch test I have read about? Any advice on how to get a hold on this before it really gets out of hand? Thank you so much!

Wow, you all have done so great! Does anyone care to share their experience with PS? I am starting to considering looking into it, but I still have about 40 pounds to lose and I've been on a heck of a longgggg.... I mean LONGGGGG.... stall. I hope it's just a stall, but I have had some health issues that kept me from working out as much as I would like to and need to so maybe as I'm getting better I can start to build some muscle.

I am down to a size 8 from a 24. I gave you my size because I haven't lost anymore weight since January but have lost 2 sizes since then. I would like to lose 20 more pounds, but we'll see. I think if I had a body lift the extra skin would be the 20 pounds I need off. I work out at least 4 times a week and have found a new addiction - exercise (guess it's better then food). I fluctuate by 3 pounds - I'm sure it's water weight, not worried as my clothes always fit well. I don't know how to get my HMO to pay for a body lift or tummy tuck, I KNOW the girls won't ever get fixed, so I wear great bras that help them look the way they used to. I've been off this board for some time but decided to come lurk as you did.
Topic: RE: Maintenance...
I'm in maintenance phase. When I went to the Dr at my 1yr mark he told me not to loose too much more weight...I was 148 and my goal with him was 144. My face looks so gaunt though. I was out of my thyroid medicine for 2 months and my weight went up to 165 I liked how my face looked but not my belly...but I figured i could get surg on my tummy. So when I got my thyroid medicine I ate more to keep my weight up to see if it was being out of the thyroid medicine that made my face more full or the weight. It was my the lack of thyroid medicine. So now I'm on to loosing the weight I put on while I was out of my thyroid medicine over 2 months. Sucks...But I still love my RNY

Your PS doesn't require a year or two of maintenance before the TT and brachio?
Wow! Our PS's in MN are picky.
