When I came home from surgery...just the thought of drinking water made me want to gag...I just wanted to sleep and wake up feeling better....well I ended up sucking on ice chips...I got my water in small sips and did not gag....best of luck to you...things will get better...take care

We are the last Hoorah's for the year!! Who else is going to be partying on IV fluids and Morphine with me? Good luck to everyone!! I am having lap RNY at 7:15 a.m., please pray for me!!

Hi,
My doctor has me taking Prilosec, which I just buy the Wagreens generic, and it isn't too bad price-wise. I bet I can find it cheaper generic at Wal-Mart, I just haven't looked.

I'm scheduled to report to the hospital at 6:45AM, so I assume it will be a morning procedure.
I'm with you on the feelings... I'm having a whirlwind of them right now, but I'm definitely not 2nd guessing my decision.

I had my surgery on the 23rd....Best of luck to you all...stay positive...do everything the doctor tells you to...drink your water...make sure you get your protien and know that you are doing this for YOU...take care...

I had my surgery the day after yours. I also had laproscopic lap band...I feel some pain at the port...my doctor said that was normal...I see him on the 30th...hopefully all pain will be gone by then...I hope you feel better soon...

Isn't it weird how doctors are so different? Ny doc says pills ok if they are no bigger than a pencil eraser. But, I think that I am going to start crushing them and take with food just to be safe. I no longer have the constipation problem

My doctor says absolutely NO pills of any size before six weeks unless they are made to be chewable or can be crushed into food. You probably should check with your Doc on the constipation. My guess is they will recommend something like Maalox or Milk of Magnesia.
