I'm in! Can we set up an online community (message board / yahoo group) too?  I work full time during the day and go to grad school at night, so my schedule is seriously crazy.  But I would still love to keep in touch with everyone and compare notes as we go through the process together!

I also plan on continuing to lurk on the Dec 08 surgery date board.  I've checked some of the earlier months, and it looks like those who came before us continue to post on their month.

Sorry I have not been online...moved and have been busy and sore! I am sooo happy for you. Tired is common, but you do have to walk, even if it is only to your front door and back as often as you can. Soon you will have more energy than you have had in a long time and will want to do everything. I am glad your surgery was uneventful..that is GREAT! Just follow your doctor's orders and watch the weight fall off. Make sure to stay hydrated....keep me posted on your progress and I am here if I can help in any way.

I think it totally rocks that you're doing this!    I, too, have found so much support here that it is even occasionally brought me to tears!  These folks all completely  understand what we are all going through and have the compassion to help others even though they are also struggling with their own battles and demons.  What a place!  If only the whole world would follow suit!

I'm definitely interested in this club though much of it will depend on how things end up looking in terms of costs.  Today's economy leaves me no extra $$.  Let alone the fact that I teach so my "vacation" days are limited!  However, I'd LOVE to be a part of your group!!

Hi, Good morning, and a Happy New Year to everyone. I got mine out on Monday, and had some pain Monday and Tuesday. I can say that there are times I'm really aware of my left side, and others where it doesn't bother me. I pushed a grocery cart yesterday, it wasn't pretty afterwords.
My doc insists that this will pass in time. She's been right on the mark so far.....

Happy New Year everybody. I can't believe another year has come and gone.
I rang the new year in with hubby and Aidan. We watched the ball drop and
drank sparkling apple cider.

I want to tell everybody that i appreciate you all. I remember when i first
came to the Dec board there was only a few of us.Now there are a whole lot
of us.Im so proud of all of us we have come along way we were all waiting for
surgery now they have happened.We are now on the other side.It was sad for me
to see this month end in a way. Now it's time to make room for the Jan folks.
Congrats to all ya'll peeps.

I was sitting thinking wishing there was another way for us to stay in contact
keep one another motivated and accountable. A way for us to form connections not
only on the boards but in real life as well.Then it hit me set up a club to do just that.

 I don't know about you guys but i need all the support i can get,and im looking to have some friends that can relate to what im going through.Im a true believer that there is strength in numbers.

So i came up with the idea of starting a club. This is gonna be a support group where
we will have fun ,support one another and do some meet and greets and traveling.This
is something that im very passionate about. I love people and i love helping people.
I think that we all have something we alyways wanted to do but just never have.

Im starting out the new year right.No longer sitting on the sidelines.Now i wanna have all the Dec peeps in the club for sure. This is going to be a tight knit group.This is gonna help me and so many of us. I won't outline all the details now. I just wanted to put it out there for everybody. I figured hey this is something that i always wanted to do,stop waiting for somebody else to do it and do it myself lol.Especially since i was able to explain how it should be.I love this group that i have connected with so why not ? This year i will follow my dreams. I am a firm believer that nothing happens by accident.

It's amazing how you can quickly have a great idea then talk yourself out of it. Im sick of that so im changing it starting now. You never know what will happen when you step out your comfort zone.

Right now im opening this just to my fellow Dec losers and our Jan friends. To join the
new support traveling club. Send me a pm saying you wanna be a member. I wanna have our first tele meet get together next week.
Once you have joined i'll be sending out all the info on what date and time we'll get together.

I am so excited.I can't wait to hear everybody's voices. I think this is gonna be alot of
fun and this is a awesome way for us to really support each other. I can't wait to share
with you all and hear from you. This year is gonna be so awesome.

Everybody come and join me.Im looking for people that wanna give back and are willing to step out of their comfort zone .It's a new year and new things.
This is the year of change.I look forward to getting to know you all better and learn from  you as we now embark upon this amazing life changing journey.
