Hey Monique -
What a great idea! I love it, and I'm definitely in! You have such a wonderful way of saying what has been rolling around in my head, but I didn't know how to get it out! Thanks!!
I had my rny 2 days before you...I hope you're doing well!

Topic: RE: Too much food?? Where's the restriction?
I feel just like you! I haven't felt full either. (And I was allowed to ea****ery oatmeal too after release from the hospital.) I usually just stop eating after 4 oz or a little more. My bariatric coordinatior (who is also a nurse and rny patient out 3 years) said that it is not unusual for us to not really feel full until we are on a full diet. I told her I was alarmed that I felt like I could eat almost a cup of something soft and she explained to me that by the time I was half way through my food, the first few bites were already on their way out. But I don't get that "full after 2 spoonfulls" sensation either. They must be using some pretty big spoons! LOL

I feel the same way as Tom, I think that we have also bonded as a group. I know that I will stay in touch because I will need the continued support of my December surgery friends
Happy New Year to all my OH friends, thank you for all your support and guidance, may it continue into 2009.
hugs,
Brenda

Well, thank goodness that may have been the problem. I'm so sorry you had to go through that. Just keep thinking of how good you will feel in a few months, and get your rest and fluids.

Topic: Awesome end to a terrible year..God is STILL in the BLESSING business!!!! I am a witness
To say that I have been to HELL and back in the last two years may be the understatement of the year...heck the decade! I am NOT going to focus on the negative things that have happened to me. What I will tell you is that although I am currently the office manager for a small office, it is suffering through the economy and I have been worried about my future. I started looking for a new job approximately 3 weeks ago. On yesterday I was offered positions at two of the companies that I applied for...can you say WOW?! What a high..to have options and both are good jobs with excellent benefits. Then I went to church last night with a girlfriend. I have been visiting churches for the last year and a half trying to find my home. I am from NC and wanted a church that gave me that "down home" feeling. I did not want to get lost in the shuffle or get caught up in the fashion shows and drama that tends to come along with so many churches I have visited. This post is not intended to start a religious debate..these are my feelings.
LAST NIGHT I FOUND MY CHURCH HOME!!! From the moment I walked in the door, I felt this forceful "embrace" ....for lack of a better term. The warmth, the WORD was just POWERFUL. One part of the message I will share from last night..." Don't let YOUR passions obstruct your purpose" and another thing...so many of us were just beat up spiritually, emotionally, and financially in 2008...but SO WHAT???!!! I still matter, I still have purpose and can and will make a difference. So what all of that happened..past tense, 2009 is pregnant with possibilities!..Live up to your potential and purpose.
