Topic: RE: How are all of my December 2008 friends doing?
Happy New Year, Rob and fellow Decemberans!  I lost 16.8 from surgery to 1st appt (1 week) but doc explained it would definitely slow down!  Next appt is Tuesday so I'll find out then.  I plan to only weigh myself once a week and not make myself crazy and a slave to the scale.

I was starting to feel really fantastic, but I sent back to work on Friday and a wave of neausea and dizziness overcame me.  Today (Sat) I'm also feeling the same - nauseaus and very tired.  But I know it'll get better.  Perhaps I'm just drinking too fast.

Ditto for me.  I'm just a tad under 2 weeks out and on pureed foods.  So far the meals aren't too bad but the drinking, especially the protein drinks make me very nauseous and overly full.  Perhaps I am drinking them too fast and need to make them last.  My first week I was intaking 4 oz over an hour, and I am drinking the protein 8 oz in 1/2 hour.  For my next drink, I will commit to going back to using the timer and 1 oz medicine cup to sip it.

Cheers from friggin freezing CANADA!!  -32 plus windchill makes -40!!

Sorry, just had to make sure you all knew how darned cold it is up here!  haha

I had read plenty about being cold after surgery, but thought it was after losing all the weight!  I had no idea it would start so soon!   Slippers, Sweaters, and Blankets, that's my only salvation.
