Hi Kristy,
My doctor prescribed Ursodiol, also called Actigall. Good luck!

Topic: RE: Finally had my post op!
My first "real food" was Trader Joes Chili as well. That's funny. I added cheese on the top for more protein and it was pretty good. I had my post op Monday and everything seemed fine. I am on soft foods for about the next 6 weeks. I started on them pretty soon after I left the hospital. My doctor said its fine as long as I drink 3 shakes a day still, Yuck! I can only stomach about 1 1/2 or 2. I eat a protein bar for my third. I can get my protein in ok between food, bars and shakes now, but I am still struggling with getting enough liquids. I got my gall stone prevention Rx too. It's going to be interesting timing all of these out. I may resort to scheduling out everything like I read other people do.

I had lost 11 pounds since surgery. About 35 ot 40 since I started this phase of my "project" in September. Looking forward to us all dropping more this first month!

I just hope the gb stuff can wait until summer.  I just do NOT want to miss more work.  It is so very hard to recover middle school students in the inner city when you're out!  This 2 week extension is killing me.  I wasn't supposed to have to take any time off of work!

I'll be keeping an eye out for the symptoms you mentioned.  Several friends have told me they felt like they were having heart attacks too!  At least I know what to look for!

Thanks!

Topic: RE: How long did your left side pain last?
My back pain finally dissappeared this week. YEAH! Now I can feel my stomach pains, but its so much better. I worked from home Monday and Tuesday, and did a test run at the office today. I was only there from 10:30 - 3:45. I was exhausted by the time it was over, but my pain wasn't any worse for it. I think I will stay for a full day tomorrow, hope I don't fall asleep

I started the shakes about 3 - 4 weeks before surgery and I never minded them. This week that changed and I can't stand them. I have been on soft foods since after the first week. Protein bars aren't the tastiest things ever, but its nice to have alternatives.
Glad you are doing better now.

HA!   Now that's funny!  HOWEVER....I needed the force..thanks for that!   I'm actually doing pretty well with food.  I'm getting about 20-24 grams from food now, so I'm only down to two nasty disgusting vile shakes a day!  YEA!   SO how are you doing with things?
