Topic: RE: Anybody tried Sushi??
I've had it a couple of times - sashimi (just the salmon off the top of the rice) and a few pieces of roll.  Love it and it sits well with me, too!

Topic: Anybody tried Sushi??
I tried su****onight ( i am about six weeks out) and I was craving it so bad. I had three pieces of a roll (salmon, cream cheese and shrimp) here it's called the Sunset roll. I scrapped a lot of the rice off of it first, but did eat some of the rice and.....it went perfect. It's been about an hour since dinner and I am still full (that NEVER used to happen before RNY lol) and no sickness either. I was wondering if anyone else had any experience with sushi??

I find that tuna & other soft fish have become my best friends.  FF refried beans with cheese.  Special K Protein Plus cereal.  SF pudding.  Eggs.  Or rather "AN egg"... 'cause that's all I can eat at 1 sitting.  And bananas.  Yeah, these are a few of my favorite things.

Please stop testing the waters with foods you know you shouldn't have.  That's how we got into this collective boat in the first place.

As for protein shakes, the only one I've found that I like is CytoSport Complete Whey Protein.  You can get it online at www.cytosport.com or www.gnc.com.  I prefer protein powder to the ready to drink kinds.

Good luck.  Stay strong.  It will get easier!

Topic: RE: Utterly Exhausted??
Looks like I'm in good company.  I was scheduled to return to work on Monday (after 6 weeks), but I'm pushing it to 8 because of the fatigue.  It's insane!  I had all my labs run on Thursday... I pray to God there's an easy fix 'cause I need to get back to work at some point!!!

Glad I'm not alone.

Topic: RE: Foods different for everyone?

I'm not a bandster but I found that nothing upsets my stomach except for milk and milk products like whey protein shakes.  I have gotten sick 3 times, one dumping and the other two was because I swallowed my liquids/pills too fast and threw up.
I just think that everyone's pouch/stomach is different.  I can tolerate so many different foods.  I think I am lucky.

Im just curious, I have found very little upsets my stomach the way i was told it would, ok I have yet to be brave enough to try chinese food because everyone has said it will make me sick...but the only thing that I have found any kind of bleck feeling when i eat it is brussel sprouts (dont laugh, i like them)  and the peachs insyrup the elementary school serves (that one should have been a no brainer due to the sugars in the syrup but I didnt think before I ate it)  others are saying how they can finally eat this or that and I really dont have much issue eatting (ok granted in small amounts) but no real issues eatting anything  i have wanted...even seafood.  Is it an issue with restriction?  No, that doesnt sound right, restriction is the amount/ rate not the item....  drinking isnt an issue for me either...

Am I odd or have I somehow messed up my band? Or ???  The only real direction i have from the NUT is eat about cup food at serving protiens first, no drink 30 before or after, avoid sweets. get 70-90g protein.

I am a work in progress...perhaps never completed or perfected; but forever working to change for the better...
