My RNY was 12-12-08.  My favorite protein drinks are Biochem vanilla, and Isopure (powder) Organe banana mango.  I use lactose free fat free milk (there are more than one brand.)  Have you tried samples from Nashua Nutrition (single packs) or the sampler from Bariatric Eating?  I also like Worldwide vanilla or banana canned.  You can add crystal light for flavors, or the sugar free flavored syrups too.
I eat the light and fit carb control yogurts.  I've juiced some leaf lettuce or parsley with carrots.  I make tuna salad: tuna in water, chopped celery (fine) and a little light mayo.  I love shrimp with shrimp sauce.  I use frontera salsa with corn and poblano chile to moisten chicken or fish.  Also lemon juice with basil.
I eat different things than my family... my timing doesn't always coincide with their meal times anyway.
Hope this helps a little.

Thanks for your post.  I've been craving Diet Coke.  Haven't given in, and the posts from others helped, too.

My highest weight was 280, surgery weight was 262, and my weight now is 217.  My goal weight is 130.  87 lbs to go.

5-13-09 update: My cravings for Diet Coke are worse... I've read many things about why not to drink carbonated beverages:
Gas and bloating and cramping.
Dumping.
Ripping staples open.
Empty calories when you need nutrition.
Dehydrating effect of the caffeine.
interference with feeling full.
Possible enlarging of the stoma.

Still I crave.  Help.

I honestly think that I haven't been getting enough protein, calories or water in.  Some days I do really good on one of those things but never all together.  And around TOM, I get really munchy so I manage to eat a lot more.  But after, i am back to eating maybe breakfast and dinner or maybe dinner and a protein shake.  And water is still a challenge.  I sometimes manage 5cups.  Today I'm at 5 but I got a lot more protein than I usually get.

I think if you want it so bad, just try it.  You may find like many people that it just doesn't taste the same as you "thought" it would!

I've certainly found that with foods - I'm craving something, decide to make it, make it, and then one taste and it's done!

I've vowed to stay off the scale from 2/1 -2/28. So far so good.  Am looking forward to a nice drop by month end. I'm sick of not seeing losses, drives me nuts!  BUT!  I've lost 2-3 pant sizes and 2 ring sizes. Just bought myself a new (fake) pretty to get me until goal when I can have my wedding rings re-sized.

I actually had my husband hide my scale so I won't get on it until the 1st of March.  I had been stalled for almost 3 weeks and was getting so depressed and thought "this sucks - I don't even want to know what I weigh".  It's much better NOT to know.  I do know that I must be losing because I went shopping Saturday and had dropped 2 pants sizes.  So, that made me happy!

I don't know if I'm craving the carbonation or just the taste of it...

Meet the Surgeon Aug 1, 2011 .... hopefully the surgeons office is right and everything will go fast and I'll have surgery later this month.

My doc has me drink "double milk" (8 oz. skim milk + 1/3 c. pwd. milk) and I add a SF flavor to it and I have one @ mid AM, mid PM and just before bed.  They get me 45 g of protein.

My surgery was 12/9....2 months today and I am now down 38 lb!  Feeling good.
