A woman I work with says a friend of hers (male), who had RNY, 2 years ago drinks beer just about every weekend - Michelob light.   Can imagine but she said it doesn't bother him.

I'd just like a small carbonated water.  I may try it on an empty stomach.  I think I was told no carbonation becasue the bubbles expand in your stomach.

Topic: First Goal Reached! I'm in Onederland!

I'm so excited I just had to share!  I weighed in on my scale at 199.5!  I haven't been under 200 in probably 15 years!  Maybe more!

I just want to shout it from the roof tops!

My next goals are to:

- Weigh less than my husband

- Weigh little enough to be considered only Overweight

Then who knows, because there's a ways between Overweight and my goal, but right now I don't care!

Wishing a happy day to everyone else.  Keep at it guys!

I loved the taste of diet pepsi. I had been craving the bite and tingly feeling I got from drinking sodas. They always seemed so refreshing. I took a tiny sip of my husbands soda when we were out. It did not taste good at all. I still liked the bubbly feeling in my mouth but not the taste. When I am thirsty, I still want it. Crystal light is losing its appeal. oh well. I will have to do with the tiniest of sips now and again.

Dear Pearl,
I do well with light and fit carb control yogurt, Amy's lowfat soups, protein drinks (Biochem and Isopure).  Tuna with finely chopped celery and a little light salad dressing is good, too.  Baked fish with a little sauce is good.  Then there is chicken which feels so heavy... It needs to be moist so again, a sauce is required.  Shrimp with ****tail sauce is good, too.
I really craved vegetables, so started juicing leaf lettuce and carrots for one glass per day.  I know it's carbs, but it's loaded with vitamins and fiber (I use a Vitamix.)
There are some cookbooks out there.  I bought mine on ebay.
