I'm so glad I seem to be do about the same as everyone else. I had my RNY 12/23 and am 7 weeks out now and am down 37#s. I plan on buying an elliptical this weekend , I hope it helps. With the weather here its hard to get much walking in , I have been doing it here at work during my breaks . I work 2nd shift so I walk circles around the empty office every night and up and down the steps .

Congrats that it is finally over.  It was worth the wait.  I had a stall a few weeks ago and it made me crazy.  I started analyzing and overthinking everything and the whole thing is that it is just our bodies.  I don't try to be so perfect anymore.  I just try to live.

Today was my six week check up and at last the scale moved.  I was stuck at a 32 pound loss for two weeks .  This morning it moved to 35 pounds lost!  The Dr scale said the same.  I know I will have longer stalls than 2 weeks but boy am I glad it is over....

I have lost 42 lbs, down several sizes in clothes but when I look in the mirror I don't see a difference, but everyone else does..

Topic: RE: Foods different for everyone?
Hi,

I am a Lap Bandster too and I just has my first "fill" two days ago.  My surgery was on December 11, 2008 and up until the "fill", I had gotten to the point where I had very little restriction EXCEPT just before the "fill" I tried angel hair pasta.  This was a bad experience, it was the first time that I had vomited since surgery.  No more angel hair pasta for a while.  Now that I have the 'fill" I am noticing major differences in what I can tolerate and how much I can intake.  That's a good thing since I will exercise much more caution which is the whole point of the Lap Band.

Topic: Received my First "Fill"

Hey everyone,

Well I just wanted to update you guys about my First "Fill".  It took place 2 days ago and I am so excited.  I finally have "restriction" and that is wonderful.  Since surgery two months ago, I have been able to eat a little more than I should and now with this "fill" the problem is resolved.  I now have the tool that I need to resume weight loss.  The "fill" has made a huge difference in the amount of food that I am able to digest in one sitting which is the whole purpose of the Lap Band.  Now my trips to the gym should really pay off.  I am so happy.

For those of you who have not completed this part of the Lap Band process yet, let me ease your mind.  The "fill" took about 5 minutes altogether and was pretty much painless.  I only experienced a minor ***** when my Doctor numbed my skin.  After that, I did not feel anything.  This Lap Band process is right on target for me since its adjustable and basically painless.

I felt "restriction" right away as my Doctor wanted me to drink some water after the procedure and I could tell a huge difference.  I'll keep you guys posted on my progress.  I also would be interested in hearing other Lap Bandster's stories regarding their first "fill" and how much progress they were able to make after the procedure.  Hit me up when you get a chance....

take care,
Rob
