going on a cruise
going on a cruise next month. I have looked at the menu and see all this food I would have gorged on before and now think I am going to waste it but try some different things. I have talked to some others post op who have gone on a cruise and said there are options and to make sure I just tell my servers that I eat slowly and only a little bit. they have a cheese platter with different cheeses which I know I will be ordering often as cheese and milk are my saving grace of food to eat.
Hi
I went on a cruise in May when I was 5 months out. It really wasn't that difficult because there are so many choices. Yes there were more things that I really wanted to eat but chose not too.
I stuck with fish, chicken, eggs for breakfast, veggies. I had turkey burgers. It was ok. But when you get off the ship on an island (depending on where you are going, make sure you take something with you because some islands where a little tough). I packed protein bars with me.
But, communicate to your server. They got me sugar free low fat ice cream, sugar free pudding and other dessert options so that I was eating with everyone else. I find if you just talk to them, then they are very accomodating.
Hope you have a great time.
