I have my appetite back and I have been eating. I've been making healthy choices but my appetite is definitely back. Small proportions but I have it back. I definitely think my weightloss has slowed down. Please OH family I really need your help.

Hey there don't be down on yourself its normal to get your appetite back our stomachs are healing. I definitely have noticed a difference too but don't let it worry you.Especially since you are eating healthy then you are ok. Our loss will slow down but will not stop so don't worry you will make it through. Keep doing what you are suppose to do get in plenty of protein and water you will make it. There will be days when you feel like you are starving then others when you don't have one at all its all normal. I would say don't sweat it will come off. I told myself when i started this journey that i would not drive myself crazy worried about how quickly i lost because i know if i focus on the task the results will follow.

Hey...My appetite is back as well which is not the end of the world...I am feeling slightly normal and able to consume mostly anything (Have yet to have sweets, cakes, cookies, etc...but I do love a few chips here and there)...For this reason I am really conditioning myself to make the best choices possible...I have learned in the past 8 months that this surgery is not a quick fix and that you definitely have to work with it...I work hard for wach and every pond I lose...You have done a great job thus far and I am sure you will continue.

Yea, I was getting a little worried too. I have been the same weight for almost a month! And some days I do get a hungry feeling. Have you been exercising? I have not but I plan on rejoining my gym this weekend. I think when we are this far out, we really need to start behaving the way we are gonna behave for the rest of our lives. We need to exercise and eat right, excluding foods and portions that we can nerver have again. THis is where our discipline starts!

HI There, I came back on here looking for support for the exact same thing. I had my surgery on 12.31.08 and I've lost 89 pounds so far. I got my appetite back, in a HUGE way this past month and I'm really getting nervous about how challenging this whole trip is about to become. I've realized that until now, it's been easy to lose weight. Now, I think we're going to have to really bare down and start implementing the things we should have learned since the very beginning. Eating right, lots of water and protein, and our vitamins. And exercise, lots and lots of exercise. I have been doing these things from the very beginning, and it's been really hard for me to tell whether my weight loss is because of my efforts, or because of the surgery (eating less). Well, I think now I'm realizing that it's because of the surgery and eating less.  I've been stalling for longer periods of time in the last two months. I'll go two weeks with no weight loss, then, in a matter of 3-4 days, I"ll drop about 4-6 pounds. I may gain 1 or 2 of those back, then after about another two weeks, I'll drop another 4 to 6 pounds. I have to say it's been frustrating.
I think now is the time that we're really going to have to start doing this for ourselves. The 'honeymoon' period is officially over and this is going to be the real test. I believe this for myself anyway..
So, I'm off to a workout right now. Good luck. you have done EXCELLENT so don't get discouraged. Put away the scale and exercise and keep up with your good eating habits and you will continue to lose.

this is definately true as long as you are supposed to be doing you will do fine its just a slow process! dont give up remember they gave us a 'tool' & we have to use it properly to get the right result. good luck im sure it will all work out.

the only way up is to stop looking down!!

I agree with all the above.  I think we get so frustrated because for most of us the weight comes off quickly in the beginning and then when we start to see the scale say -1 lbs lost or something minimal we get ansy...I know I do...and I get upset when I know I haven't done exactly what I am supposed to.  But this page is so motivational and informational...I am going to start a new fire under myself and get this show back on track!  I want to be 135 by my surgiversary to take full advantage of my year window and loose enough for the bounce back effect.  In Jesus name I pray.  AMEN
