Hi All,
This is my first time on this board. Wish I had found it earlier. BUT, I also wish I had my surgery earlier too.
I have lost 51 lbs. since my surgery and it seems that is a little low in comparison. I think I need help with getting in more protein and water. I am never really hungry and when I am, I fill up really fast. I drink one protein shake in the morning. Maybe I should go to 2 a day. Everyone seems to think there is something between protein and weight loss. I joined a GYM a month ago and do the bike or treadmill for 20 minutes and do weights 3X a week. I have lost inches tho. I have gone from a tight tight 24 to an 18/20. I am also going to put the scale in the closet. I get on it every day and watch the scale barely move.
I do feel good tho and that is the best feeling .............
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
THX
Do what you can to get your protien and water in. I can relate to that issue too! Keep exercising. You will work up to more time that weight will come off! Some of us just lose slower then others.
Some on here believe there is a definite realtionship between protein and water intake directly affect the amount of weight one loses.
I am just learnign this as I go along. I know when I was in a stahl(sp) I upped both and changed my exercise routine and the weight started falling off.
If you don't mind me asking are you meeting both goals a day, correct protein and water amounts?

I am your surgery twin. I had my surgery the same day. I just want to stress to you as hard as it may be to do get in all the protein requirements plus. When my weight loss slowed down and HAIR started falling out my Dr said my protein is low...I increased it for my hair and the weight loss increased instead!!! Still losing the hair...uhhkkk. How I forced myself to get the drinks down was to not sit down until I got it down and I held it in my hand until I finished it. Weird but it worked.
