Hi Barb,
I am right there with you about 59 lbs gone.  I am still having trouble getting down all of my protein and water too.  I am not getting all of my water in, I really am trying though.  It seems to make me nauseas most of the time.  I could down a whole bottle at once b/4 RNY.  I am getting exercise in though. I walk a mile in the morning before work and then I just got home from the gym (local gym at the Parks & Rec's Dept.) My son went with me and boy did he work out my arms.  They really need toning. Are you seeing loose skin yet?? Boy, I sure am.  Well, take care and keep in touch.      Hugs,  Donna

Hi!
We have the same surgery date!
I haven't been able to get all of my water in.  And I'm a very SLOW loser.  I'm down 52 lbs.  But 19 of it was lost pre-op.  So I have only lost 33 lbs since surgery.

I am riding my elliptical trainer 20 mins a day on a high level and also doing strength training 2-3 days a week.  Plus I walk with my kiddos when I can.  Our weather here is beautiful and those days make it easy to get out and move!  I'm ready to work in the yard.

It sounds like you are doing really well!
Keep up the good work!
Hugs

I have lost almost 33 pounds since surgery and almost 88 pounds since I first saw the bariatric doctor last autumn.  ( AND almost 150 pounds from my highest weight in 2000)   It is definitely a slow process.  I struggle with eating solid foods quite a bit.  I end up vomiting fairly frequently.  But, some foods don't trouble me at all (like cookies).  Fortunately, I don't have access to them very often.  I try to make sure to get enough protein by making a protein drink with 50 grams of protein.  I flavor it with Crystal Light.  I make 32 oz.  I drink part of it of my way to work and the other part on my way home from work.

I am thankful I had the surgery.  It is keeping me from eating emotionally due to my DH's job loss and my pending job loss in June.  I am definitely showing signs of depression.  It is a scary time right now.  I am not tracking my food intake on Fit Day, like I did before surgery.  I should probably start doing so.

I swim moderately around 45 minutes a day 5 days a week.  I am walking more at work.

you have done great on your weight lose, congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!  we weigh almost the same i weight 228-229 right now.  im sorry to hear about your hubby job losss and maybe yours  i wish you the best its a hard time right now.

when i went to my dr last week he said at this stage after surgery food is an extra first get teh protein then the vitamins and water then food is a bonus so thats what i have been doing the last few days, and the scale should move.

i need to get more exercise in but my the time i work all day im tired, i know i should force myself more in that area

keep in touch, add me as a friend if you would like
