How are we all doing?
I am ok. 9 weeks out and I havelost 48 pounds. I still feel so happy but I have noticed some things changing. I find I am hungry more now than before and this took me by surprise. It started last week. I don't seem to be craving anything but I just feel hungry all of the time. I am keeping it in control and it is probably part of what I have to relearn, but boy it is hard. I am not having a problem getting my protein in or my liquids and I exercise as best I can because I have to have my left knee replaced.
I was getting a little frustrated because people weren't noticing my weight loss and I wanted to shout it to the world. Then a friend told me that people are afraid to comment about rapid weight loss because they either feel you don't want to discuss wls or you are sick. I was surprised. That made sense to me!
I also am surprised that I really care more about how I look now than I did before.
9 weeks and many more surprises to go. SO HOW ARE THE REST OF YOU DOING?????
Cindy
Otherwise things are going great, and I'm very happy with my RNY!
Everything is going here. I'm in a nasty stall and stuck at 28lbs lost. I'm not liking it... and it's been a struggle with me to no snack when I get something for the kids. I've made some not so good food choices, and I'm ashamed of it. I told my husband that when they finish eating all thier snack foods that we're not buying anymore... I can't take the snacks I used to love being in the house.
I'm currently trying to up my exercise, and see if that helps with this stall. It's been a couple weeks and it's SO frustrating. I've tried calling the nutritionist and she just doesn't seem to help at all.
I was waiting for the elevator the other day, and noticed that I looked smaller and my clothes fit better, I liked that. And I've had more energy. Which is always nice when you have a 4 year old and 2 year old.
Meet the Surgeon Aug 1, 2011 .... hopefully the surgeons office is right and everything will go fast and I'll have surgery later this month.

I had the same thing happen to me. People at work were more concerned that I am switching from night to dayshift, than my friggin health. wat's up wit dat?
The rumors were rampant that I was jumping ship but nobody noticed I wasn't there for 6 weeks.
I had some good news at the gym today. I am down 20.5 pounds since jan 11 and down an overall 7.5 inches.
I have lost 49 since, July 38 since surgery.
My diet has not been the best lately. Doritos and chicken wings. I should be shot, and deserve to be w/o question. Some habits are hard to break.
Keep up the good work everybody.

I am so glad that so many have responded. It seems like we are all handling things about the same. I understand those of you who have made some tough choices because I am fighting tooth and nail not to. I guess I had a false sense of victory, that not wanting to eat by my old habits was just going to "disappear". NOT! I'm definitely going to support group in 2 weeks and listening to what others have to say.
For those up North, I apologize in advance, but today was so beautiful I went to the pool. I wore a new bathing suit that was a size 18 (I NEVER would have written size 18 before) compared to a 24 before. Today people noticed. But yuck, I have to find a longsleeved, long shorts bathing suit to cover the batwings and leg wubble!!!
But when all is said and done, nothing that I wrote about is enough to get me down anymore. I look in the mirror now. I didn't like to do that before.
I am just now starting to have alittle bit of energy. Bought a treadmill last week and have been on every day since. Only 15 min, but it's better than nothing. Am trying hard to make it a habit of exercising in the morning so I won't have excuses later in the day.
Kristy (weight loss below does not include 16lbs lost during pre WLS diet)
START: 325 Day of Surgery :309 GOAL: 180
I haven't had a problem with my energy levels, but still don't exercise as much as I should.
I have dropped 2 sizes in pants - THAT was exciting and my first "wow" moment since surgery. My friends are congratulating me on my weight loss, but I don't see it in the mirror - that's odd, isn't it? I guess my perception is still of the old, bigger me.
