I tried su****onight ( i am about six weeks out) and I was craving it so bad. I had three pieces of a roll (salmon, cream cheese and shrimp) here it's called the Sunset roll. I scrapped a lot of the rice off of it first, but did eat some of the rice and.....it went perfect. It's been about an hour since dinner and I am still full (that NEVER used to happen before RNY lol) and no sickness either. I was wondering if anyone else had any experience with sushi??

I've had it a couple of times - sashimi (just the salmon off the top of the rice) and a few pieces of roll.  Love it and it sits well with me, too!

Suchi was my last meal before my 2 day liquid diet.  I haven't had it since surgery.  I haven't had any rice.  Everyone keeps telling me that it will make me really full.  But I am learnign that a lot fo things that make others sick, doesn't with me.
I think I lost my taste/craving for sushi, so I haven't had it.  But its nice to know that others have tried it and it went well for them.

I"m so gald to see this post! I love sushi and was more concerned about not being able to get the seaweed chewed up. spinach does something horrible to be and I think it's because when cooked, it's so thin, it slips through and sticks to the lining of my pouch. I was going to try some sashimi, figuring that would eliminate the seaweed issue. but i was concerned about the rice too..

I have had the California rolls at about 5 weeks out. Two sits well with me as a meal. Not the best protein choice, but it was a treat.

I tried some yesterday.  It did not sit well and came right back up.  All of it.
