Utterly Exhausted??
Is anyone else feeling completely exhausted? I really feel like it has to do with taking the Actigall. I only started taking it a couple of weeks ago but it is really the only change I have made...so I think it may have had some affect on me.
I am at the point that I can't get enough sleep at all....yesterday was the second day in a row I had to call work and say I would be late.
I thought I was getting a cold or bug but I really haven't had any cough/flu symptoms except for the exhaustion, muscle aches, and sore throat.
I am taking my vitamins and trying to get my proteins in as much as possible. I know it could be that I am not getting enough nutrition in but I wanted to see if anyone else is having the same problem.
I am just 8 weeks out from the Lap RNY on 12/9/08. I had a hard first three weeks but then I had a really pretty good next three weeks....and now I just feel like I got run over by a truck.
I started feeling better after starting on my Iron/Vit C/B-12 and the B-12 sublingual too. My energy level has really kicked into high gear. My daily walking is really helping too!
Have you had your blood work done? Maybe you are low on something? Be worth a call to your PCP to find out!
I hope you start feeling better soon!
I have a call in to the surgeon and waiting to hear back from her. If I still feel this way next week, I will head to the PCP and have everything checked over.

I am still completely exhausted. It is bad because I get rest on the weekends but the further out in the week it is the more tired I am, so I end up having to leave work early. I think they are starting to think i just want to leave early on thursdays and fridays.

I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer.

Thank goodness we have this website to know that we are all "not alone" in many of these situations.
Thank you all for your responses. I feel better since I stopped taking the Actigall. I am going to try taking it once a day instead of three times a day and see if that changes anything.
I know I am low on protein intake but I am also still hardly feeling hungry at all. I am able to tolerate chicken, tuna, and meatballs really well so I am trying to get the protein in from those food groups.
Every day I seem to get more food in but it is just amazing how much things have changed. Some days I feel so much better and then other days are not so much fun. Here's hoping month number three will knock out most of the bad days.
I take my vitamins RELIGIOUSLY and always get 70+ grams of protein - I force myself to have protein drink(s) if I'm low for the day. I've been taking Actigal and B-12 sublinguals, plus all the other suppliments since the day after surgery. I do think that the vitamins and protein are vital to keeping up energy/strength, and I know they are important to brain function as well.
Good luck to you all. I hope it gets better. Try to up the protein each day and never miss your vitamins would be my suggestions.
