Hi all. My favorite vegetable is cooked broccoli. Anyone eating it yet?  If so, how is it going down? My RNY was 12/9/08.  I don't see the doctor until 2/4/09, which is why I'm posting.

I just had brocolli for dinner tonight.  Two spears to be exact, and I had cheese sauce on them as well, and it was delicious.  So far so good, and that was over an hour ago...I am pretty sure I  have had brocolli earlier than tonight too.  I have not had problems with it.  I did hear that some people experience gas from brocolli, but so far so good for me.

I eat it in an egg/cheese/turkey bacon cup fine.

I have had cooked broccoli and steamed broccoli. went down better than some meat. I tend to eat fast except veggies, why I dunno?

It was very good. Gas? kinda hard to tell if it caused it. I am a regular gas factory. most of the time bringing  to people in the room.

Cooked broccoli is touch and go for me. Ehh... I don't know how much I'll be eating it now post-op because of this.

I had my rny 12/22 and have already had broccoli. Of course it was cooked well so it was soft. It was delicious and I had no problems with it. Good luck and enjoy.

My RNY was 12-22 as well. Cooked broccoli, and greens have gone down (and stayed) well. Fish not so good. Spinach not so good either, I miss my veggies***************.

I have eaten well-steamed broccoli crowns with no issues.  No pain, no gas... broccoli is also one of my faves so I couldn't wait to have it again!

With that being said - I have tolerated most anything well.  I have not had nausea at all since the surgery, nor have I lost my lunch.  I've tried darn near everything, from fish, chicken, beef, steamed veggies, dairy, etc. without a problem.
