Back to solid food... weight loss stalls?
I am four weeks post op, and now on semi-solid foods (soft protein, steamed veggies, etc.)
How is it possible that I haven't lost a single pound in the last week????
Just a rant. I know I'm barely getting in 600 calories a day and I can't figure out how I could hit my second plateau so soon. Yes - I've already weathered one...

I've read several times here on OH that your body can not lose weight and inches at the same time. Everyone I've seen swears that when they hit a "plateau" that's when they begin to lose inches instead of the pounds. I've also heard to UP UP your protein and UP UP your liquid intake. Lower the carbs. I think I'm hitting my first plateau now (I'm 3 weeks yesterday) so I'll see if it holds any truth! LOL But, I haven't taken any measurements. I'm just not into it.
Good luck! You'll get through this!

Don't freak. Same thing happened to me last week. I had 0 pounds lost in 3 days. Checked the scale 2 days later, down 1 pound. Checked again 2 days, 2 more gone. It's going to be a temporary thing, you can't NOT lose weight with RNY :-) I know it's frustrating though. Lets hope we have a nice weight loss before the next pause in the pounds coming off.

When we are in starvation mode, our body has to compensate. Let it do it's thing and you'll see a drop on the scale again. I wouldn't call these plateaus. Just temporary adjustments that your body is going through.
You've got a long weight loss window of opportunity ahead of you. Try not to worry! Just stick to your plan and you will do just fine!!!
