ok, you are probably in starvation mode.  In pureed diet you will increase your calorie intake a bit and this should start moving things again.  For such drastic surgery, I think we all expect the weight to fall off.  Doesn't seem fair does it!

I also had RNY on 12/22 and have been stalled in the same place for about a week.  I am on mushies now, but there's hardly anything I can eat and not get sick.  FF refried beans, cottage cheese, and some 2% mozzerella have been about it since Monday.  I got really sick last Saturday on some chicken, and threw up over and over all day.  It was not pretty.  So I have taken it easy the rest of the week, but still get sick.  So this morning, since I didn't have to go to work, I thought I'd try a scrambled egg....big mistake.  Have felt worse than yucky all day...so my theory chicken and eggs are out!  I don't like eggs anyway, so I won't try them again.

Good luck!

Marsha

I can eat Italian sausage (cooked soft not fried)and I can eat chili but scrambled eggs make me feel sick. I don't throw up but I don't feel well that is for sure. I can eat hard boiled eggs with a bit of light mayo and some mustard. I ma**** up and eat it with 2 f/f saltine squares. It is very good. I have heard that chicken is very dry even if it tastes moist. A lot of people have trouble with it. I can also eat a turkey meat ball. Today at lunch was my first try with refried beans. I added a little 2% shredded cheese and one sm dollop of light sour cream. It was really yummy. My favorite has been yellow squash, zucchini, green and red peppers all cooked soft in chicken bullion then I added onion and garlic. After that I added stewed tomatoes. While that all cooked down I added the Italian sausage that I had boiled (water just covering it****il cooked through and soft. I let it all cook for about another hour. It was soooo good.

I had RNY on 12/18/08 and have stalled too.  My first 2 weeks I lost 28 pounds and for the last week and a half have been stalled at 28 pounds.  I do feel like my clothes are feeling looser, so I think I am losing inches and not pounds.  I'm ready for more than liquid and mush.  I wish I could do more than walking.  I have heel spurs on both feet, left one much worse than the right.  It hurts me to go out and walk.  I would love to be back in the gym using the machines and at least doing some toning.  I don't want bat wings!!!!

My scale went up too. I'm glad I'm not the only one. I can't make sense of it, but trying not to over react either.

I checked my measurements on Monday and compared them to my pre-op measurements.  There is definitely a difference.  I am still stalled.  I think I had too much dairy yesterday, so my weight was up a bit.

It's almost three weeks and I am still stalled.  I started work yesterday and can start swimming again next week.  Hopefully things will start moving again.

Well, I see I am not alone. It does bug me out that I could lose weight faster before the surgery than I am now. That just doesn't make sense to me. I put the scale away. I took away my ticker tape weight loss thing in my signature. I am going to just do what I have to do and feel the difference. It isn't like I can give up now or anything. I was a happy person before the surgery and I can be a happy person after. I don't have to live for the scale. But it is hard not to consentrate on that when your whole eating life has been disrupted and changed. Good luck to you and me.

Sandra,

I am having the same issues.  I stalled when I left the hospital (NO weight loss for nine days!) then it started coming off, then it stopped.  I have been playing with the same 2 lbs. for the last 2 1/2 weeks.

I also can't figure out how I could be living on 600 calories a day with no budge on the scale!  And I have been doing everything they said - liquids, protein, vitamin supplements, etc.

I am also trying to keep my head up and have faith that it will all work.  At least you know you're not going through this alone, right???
