How long did your left side pain last?

I was still having the pain too, especially when I got up in the am. I started wearing the wrap/binder thing they put on after surgery and it REALLY helps a lot, I can even sleep on my side with no problems. I wear it every night now and no longer hurt.
Hope it helps you too

JJ,
I have one of those binders, I call it my "girdle", lol, it does help to hold me together. I did not wear it to work yesterday or today and I can tell a difference when I don't wear it. As far as pain I have some discomfort at times when I drink or eat something too fast and some back pain due to my first week back to work but other than that I feel better each day.
hugs,
Brenda

I am two weeks out (as of yesterday) and have virtually no pain.  I went back to work yesterday and did fine.  I had no drains at all, thank goodness, those are awful things!  Have had them before, I was miserable with them.

Hugs,
Marsha

My back pain finally dissappeared this week. YEAH! Now I can feel my stomach pains, but its so much better. I worked from home Monday and Tuesday, and did a test run at the office today. I was only there from 10:30 - 3:45. I was exhausted by the time it was over, but my pain wasn't any worse for it. I think I will stay for a full day tomorrow, hope I don't fall asleep
