Hello All,
I had lap  RNY on the 22nd and am beginning to get concerned that something is wrong with the way I was "put back together". When I lay on my back, which is constantly due to back pain, everthing looks normal. When I stand up, my two left incisions are pulled in. I looks like I am pushing them in with a fist. Does anyone else have this, or is it the same whether you are up or down?
Reading everyone's posts h
as helped me so much more than I ever would have thought, Thanks Everyone! Kristi

I have the same thing except it's the right side for me. It's like my left side is all bloated and swollen, but my right side got punched down. It looks so weird. I'm hoping once I'm all healed that my stomach will look normal -- or at least like it did before the surgery.

Meet the Surgeon Aug 1, 2011 .... hopefully the surgeons office is right and everything will go fast and I'll have surgery later this month.

Yup.. I have the same thing.  I"m guessing it has to do with the swelling and gases pumped into our stomachs.  I'm sure it'll clear up.  Besides, we still have the sagging skin to look forward to.  lol

Happy New Year everyone!

I had mine on Dec 2, and I had the same thing it looked like I had a second belly button added but sewn up !!! lol and two other incisions were also indented in, my dr told me it is all because of the swelling and from the sutures. it has all gone down now and I am 31/2 weeks out so good luck to you

Yep...where my largest incision is, it's like it's sucked in...majorly...it's normal.

Thanks, I can't believe how much piece of mind this gives me. I was beginning to think that's why my back was hurting so much too. But, I can reach the floor again today :), so there is my win.
Glad we are not in this alone!

My stomach looks pushed in by the biggest incision.  The rest of the stomach still looks pretty bloated.

It seems like that's pretty normal for all of us.
