What drugs are you taking?
sheesh, thats more expensive than the actigall. I was wondering the same thing about why they just don't remove the gallbladder, it would make things alot easier - and cheaper when it comes to buying medicine.
Meet the Surgeon Aug 1, 2011 .... hopefully the surgeons office is right and everything will go fast and I'll have surgery later this month.

Does anyone know what we can take for constipation? Can we take ducalax or something like that ? It is a little pill.

my dr told me to take 2 colace per day for the future and to take magnesium citrate because I became really constipated and to maintain with the colace so it wouldnt happen again, I have had 2 different times of being in awful pain once releived with a suppository and once with the magnesium citrate...the dr also said to keep drinking because that helps also...hope that helped
Isn't it weird how doctors are so different? Ny doc says pills ok if they are no bigger than a pencil eraser. But, I think that I am going to start crushing them and take with food just to be safe. I no longer have the constipation problem . In fact it started going the other way now. But thank you so much for the info. Have a wonderful day!~ Annette
You sure are correct about doctor's being so different. I've thought that when I've read these posts. My doctor is self-admittedly very cautious. I imagine that is why he has a record of more than 6,000 surgeries and not a single leak or death as a result. Those are the reasons I went with him over other doctors in our area and the same reasons will make me listen to him.
He explained it to me before I left the hospital. He stated that all of our insides are swollen. Everything. They've been poked, prodded, cut, stapled, the whole nine yards. He said we'd feel the pain of the muscles healing and the stitches in those areas but that the actual organs would not likely give us "pain" unless there's a problem. With the swelling in the stomach last for up to six weeks, he says absolutely no pills or anything thicker than runny applesauce for that amount of time. It sucks.. boy oh boy does it suck and I have been sorely tempted to cheat. Okay.. I have cheated... lol But not a lot of cheating!
Good luck with your lovely BM situation going the other way. That was how mine started. Now, I'm not really going but I'm not constipated either. I can't imagine how I could be constipated when all I have is liquids. What solids are there to process? LOL
Have a stellar day!
