I did it....

My surgery  was friday morning around 11am.... it went great. I had to stay overnight because I was really out of it from the anethsia. I was discharged around 4pm Saturday, and came home to my stepmom and dads house... we all thought it would be best if I avoided walking down the hall to my apartment for a couple days. Although I will have to go home tomorrow, because my hubby has to go to work on tuesday.

So far I haven't gotten much of anything into me...some juice, italian ice and tea at the hospital, then tea and water at home... and a few teaspoons of chicken broth. I am so suprised that i'm not hungry, even looking at food doens'tbother me.

I've still got some pain, but thankfully I've been walking a a good deal... and can get around better if I just give myself a minute....

I hope that all my surgery buddies are doing well... when I get home I will go and update my blog.

Meet the Surgeon Aug 1, 2011 .... hopefully the surgeons office is right and everything will go fast and I'll have surgery later this month.

Katie,
So glad to hear that you are doing well. I am still tired, just showering wipes me out! I actually slept in bed last nite, for a few hours, I have a pain patch and a pill for break thru pain. Hope you continue to do well!
hugs,
Brenda

Well congrats Katie! I'm glad you're doing well! But at least I'm not in pain alone. LOL I woke up this morning almost in tears...my hubby had to go get my pain meds and I had to take them and lay in place for about 20 minutes before I could move ! I hurt so bad!

Oh my I know getting out of bed is the worst.... I have to take my pain meds every 6-8 hours, so I usually take it right before bed and by the time I have to get up thier still in my system....
