Does your tummy have a sort of constant unsettled feeling?  MIne does, and I wi**** would go away already.  Before surgery I could always tell if tummy feeling were gas, constipation, PMS cramps, now I can't tell what's going on.  Sometimes rumbly feeling.   Just wondering how you guys who are about a week out are feeling these days.

today I have the rumblies but I know its from hunger because I'm on a clear liquid only pre-op diet (surgery is Monday morning).

My hunch is maybe its nerves?

I know EXACTLY how you feel.  It is like I have so many different feelings or sensations in my tummy that I dont know what any of it is.  After I eat (or drink I should say) I think I am full but yet, I still have like an empty feeling.  He worst is in the morning when I wake up.  I feel like I have such a sour tummy and really feels blahhhh.

I have the rumblies too.  It is like there is a very serious storm going on in my stomach.  Especially when I take a sip of water.  It is like as soon as I sip the water, I can feel it go down and the rumbling or bubbling sensation/noise starts.    I was kinda concerned about this, so I am glad I am not the only one who is experiencing it.

Thanks for sharing your tummy goings-on with me. I hope things settle down soon.

I had my first dump today I think. I had a yogurt with 14 g of sugar, and felt sweaty and a slight racey heart for about an hour after.  The yogurts I've had previously have had around 8 grams, and I've had no issue.  Trial and error I guess, but that was not a nice feeling!  No puking though, so that's good. Puking this early on, still having the pains and soreness of the muscles would not be good!

I am almost three weeks out now and I still have a "strange" feeling in my stomach, sometimes it feels like there is a rock in my stomach. At first it even hurt to drink water, I'm not sure if you have had this problem too or not. It does go away though. Things do get better as time goes on! Just hang in there!

I also know exactly what you are talking about.  It's like there is so much noise and rumbling in my stomach I have no clue if it is gas or hunger.  In my head I'm not hungry.  So I assume it's gas.  Lately I have been eating a bit more though, and it seems to have stopped a bit, so it might have been hunger.  I was eating about 1 1/2 oz yogurt and something else small, 3/4 oz jello.  But I started eating a little bit more.  I am afraid to eat though.  Today for the first time I didn't see the scale move.  B4 operation, I was 240.  When I got home I was 249.5, and now I am 225.5.  So it has gone down, but I swear I am so afraid to eat sometimes.  I just keep reminding myself that it's mostly all protein so it shouldn't make me fat.

I also have diaraheah and have had it since i had my first bm (about 3 days after surgery).  MD says it could take a month for my system to settle down, so I don't know if the rumbles are related to that too.

Good luck!

I'm one week out today and still on clear liquids.  My stomach rumbles, grumbles and moves constantly.  I thought I was hungry but when I drank something, it felt like a rock hitting my pouch.   I attribute it all to gas now.
My dr only wanted me on clear liquids for a few days and suggested cream soups and things like that.  I'm too afraid to test those waters.  I'm still working on getting my liquids in because I', never thirtsty or hungry, just tired from lack of sleep and sore from the statples.
