You sound like an amazing person, with the foster kids and step-parents and.. just... everything!  My husband is most worried about something happening while I'm in surgery.  Then, he's worried that I'm "going to get skinny and leave him".  I told him  he's stuck with me forever!!  And ever!!  lol

I am sad about Christmas.  My kids and I will be with my folks so my husband can continue to work.  (That mortgage still has to get paid and all)  I'm sure my kids will remember nothing but I know that I won't really be quite myself on Christmas Day.  I'm planning to have NO complications so that I can be released on Christmas Eve as planned.  We all know this is for the best!

I had actually learned of the swollen pouch through my doctor's office.  They have put together a really complete set of "manuals".  One Pre-surgery and one Post-surgery.  They've included recipes, what to expect.. pretty much everything.  I went to buy the Phopho Soda bowel prep today only to discover that Fleets has voluntarily recalled it due to some FDA report this week.  I called the Doc's office and had him paged because I didn't know what to do!  He didn't even know about the report!  (Not my doctor.. this was who was on call)  So.. now I've got some other concoction that I've taken before and found really disgusting!  So.. fun times with that!  lol

In any case.. I also find I'm rambling now.  (I'm sure you didn't even notice!)  I'll pray for you and your whole family for a GREAT Christmas for everyone!  I know that God is watching over all of us and will keep us all safe.  We can charter these new waters together!

Well Julie...Tomorrow is the big day. And a year from now, if not sooner, we will be looking back on the day and saying (Oh..Thats wasn't so bad!  I don't know why I waited so long!)   As far as the hubby issues we are having....we can give each other some Ideas to help them feel loved and that they are the most important men in our lives.  This is going to be a change for everyone involved...but hopefully a good one!  Thoughts and Prayers to you!!!

Okay... so I have to be at the hospital in just 12 hours.  I am wondering if I'm going to chicken out.  My kids and I (ages 6 and 3) are now at my folks' place.  My mom, saint that she is, is going to care for us until I'm given the go-ahead to take on caring for my kids again.  Hubby is at home and quite nervous for this all.  He's so scared I'm going to die.  He's convinced he is too "immature" to raise the kids on his own.  I've tried to ensure him that I am NOT going to die!  He won't get off that easily!  lol  :-0

In any case.. you're in my thoughts, prayers and stuff!  We're gonna be great!  See you on the other side!
