diarrhea?

 I just had Lap Band surgery on Dec. 11, 2008. Feeling quite well, but tonight I had
a surprise bout of diarrhea! Does anyone know why this might have happened and
will it happen again? I'm trying to get in liquid protein and water.

My surgeon said this is normal for 4 or 5 days after surgery because of all the liquids we are consuming. Then we need to be prepared for a few days of absolutely nothinghappening in the bm department. It all comes with the territory. I had surgery on Dec. 9 and I seem to be following the schedule to the "t".

I've been having VERY loose poops daily since 1 day post op. Was not expecting that at all.  I was shocked at the first one, thinking I was just releasing some nice gas, turned out to be alittle more than that. Gross!

Thanks so much, Kristy. It happened again tonight, but not as bad as yesterday. Guess I need to buy some Depends!  :))
