Bummed

I was scheduled for surgery last Friday 12/12. After being scared to death and wanting to back out, I forced myself to go through with the surgery. Got to the hospital, got registered, got to the prep room, IV inserted, etc. Then they tell me my surgery has to be canceled because I had a slight temperature. I was not feeling sick, was not recovering from a cold, nothing. I know they are being safe rather than sorry but I just don't know if I can work the nerve back up to got through all of the pre-op stuff again and get back in that bed for the surgery.

You can do it!!! You were brave enough to do it the first time, and I know you can do it again!!!! I feel you though...Mine is scheduled for 12/17, and after 8 months of jumping through hoops for the insurance company, I'm freaking out... I know I'm not going to back out though, bc I have fought too hard for this!!!

You can do it again and you will be fine!

If I can do it so can you.  I am on number three.  First it was Hurricane Ike then poison ivy / viral infection.  Now I am making it thru my third time with the two week liquid diet.  Hang in there.
