New protein source - YAY!
Hi all -
I am 7 days out (Dec. 8) from Lap RNY and was thoroughly sick of the protein options I had stocked up on. I am still using the bullets to add protein while I get my 64 oz. of liquids, but had discovered i couldn't stomach any more of the whey protein in any of the shakes I had. A friend mentioned MLO Vegetable Protein. Maybe some of you know about it or use it? I got some right away. I just had it blended up in some bean and bacon soup made with milk, and there is none of that nasty sweetness. I can't wait to try it in other things.
It came in a 1 pound container, two rounded tablespoons provides 17 grams. 23 servings/can. At our local Smiths grocery store, it was $15.79.
Just thought I would share with you all in case you find yourself in the same place...Best of luck!!!

This sounds like something I might like to try. What does MLO stand for? What section of the store was it in?
I am not liking any of my post op food choices. She who loved SF pudding and protein shakes before surgery. UGH!
