NO TASTE!!!!

Hello everyone, hope each and everyone of you are doing well.  Ive been home 6 days now and Ive seem to notice I have no taste in my mouth what so ever! Im on my clear liquids right now but NOTHING I mean NOTHING seems to give me taste. Any help? on what I can do .I just have this awful bland yucky taste in my mouth. Will not go away.

I am one week out of the hospital and as much as I'd like to help, I am finding the same thing.
It's difficult to get the liquids in because even they taste awful.  I brush, I use mouthwash and nothing is helping it right now.  I can only assure you that it will pass because my husband had the surgery and went through the same thing.  It passed shortly after he got off of the protein drinks and onto soft proteins.  So we can hope it will be soon!!!

Thank you , that gives me alittle encouragement.  My mother had the RNY 2 months ago and she said the same thing. Now she has taste. So there is hope for the both of us!

I think a tongue scraper really helps and I love Biotene mouth rinse.  It doesn't have alcohol in it, so it's not drying like Lysterine or Scope.  See if that helps, at least short term.
