I have a date!
The class was in a conference room, nice big table and chairs. She has a folder with handouts, lots of info. So you might call and ask if she minds the laptop. She said you can go to more classes, and call her anytime. She was a really nice lady, has her act totally together. Jessielynn kept on track, and asked that we hold questions (there was paper to write them down****il the end because most likely she would cover it all. There were a few questions, not many. My suggestion is to MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH BAYLOR PRE-ADMITTING!!! They take the folks with appointments before walkins. There were 3 of us who went after class, none of us had an appopintment. I got there at 10:55 and did not leave the building (sorta like Elvis****il 2:35. And all I had to have was a chest xray and blood drawn. You have to fill out some papers at the first office, wait for someone to call you, then they input all the info, make labels, give you a wrist band, then you wait for the nurse. She will go over all the paperwork with you, figure out what you need as far as labs, then you go do the labs. I was really lucky with my work. The owner is totally supportive of what I am doing, and they are accomodating me to the nth degree, with the exception of paying me while I'm out! And I would not expect that anyway. I have had to be out at a moments notice but they understand. So good luck with your process. I really wish I had made the appointment...
LOL I went to preadmitting today, and the line was enormous! So I made an appt for 8am monday...this is crazy! Are you scared yet?
Did you have to pay a copay or deductible at preadmitting? If you have ppo and have to pay a percentage, did they tell you when that had to be paid?
I'm so glad your work is supportive...mine is so-so....

Yeah, it was crazy. I am not smart enough to be scared yet, but then I've never been scared before surgery. Go figure, it just doesn't worry me. I guess my philosophy is you do what you gotta do, and what will be, will be. Oh, isn't there a song in there somewhere?
I didn't have to pay a copay yet and my deductible was met on January 3 of this year. They did not tell me what my percentage is, and did not tell me when that has to be paid. Again, que sera, sera. I do worry about that part a bit, but I have to do this if I want any kind of life that is fulfilling and fun. I am tired of being fat and tired. I think I'm always carrying around almost 7 bags of kitty litter (if they are 20 lbs each) and that is enough to exhaust anyone.
I am so sorry your work is not really behind you in this endeavor. I think if I did not have that support I might rethink this whole thing.
