I have a date!

I finally have a date! 12/19/08!   It'a been a struggle to get through all the requirements, even though I started this process back in April.  BCBS federal is changing some requirements 1/1/09, like pre-approval is required, plus the copay is going up, so I really was pushing to get it before 1/1/09.  My sleep doc even called my surgeon (I actually heard him tell Dr. Matin that I needed to get in by end of year!) and I could not believe that!  All my doctors at Baylor have been absolutely super:  Dr. Conner, gastroenterologist, Dr. Luterman, pulmonary extraordinaire, Mike at the sleep lab (super guy, even two nights in a row!), Dr. Berbairie, cardiologist.  Sceless at the Baylor Weight loss center has been front and center, answering my questions and helping me get scheduled.  I think she is as happy as I am.  I've been on the liquid diet for 5 days and have lost 8 pounds.  Progress!  Ain't it wonderful!

Hey!! My surgery is being done by Dr. Nick (your doc's partner) two days before on the 17th... Let's keep in touch!!!

good idea!  i was at the office today for the nutrition class with jessielynn.  so much info in so little time!  there was a lady in class scheduled also for the 17th, also with dr. nick.  i went to dr. matin because dr. nick was fullllll until after the 1st.  i do like dr. matin, he's okey dokey.  do you really have 4 boys?  i have no kids at all.  never did, never will.  too old now! 

Congrats on getting your date, I am having my surgery the same day! It'll be a good day to change our lives....

Congrats on your date!!! Mine is the 15th. I work for a hospital and we just got the letter on all the insurance changes with BC/BS, I am so glad that I got approved for December, actually the info was submitted and I was approved in 3 days. Good luck with your surgery and your journey.

Thank you, Missy Brenda!  I sorta keep up on the insurance thing over the internet, that's how I found out about it.  I really pushed hard for the surgery this year.  Good luck to you as well. 

Lynnewa...were there just chairs in there? Or tables too? I'm going to see if Jessilyn minds if I bring my laptop, and I can literally type as fast as she talks...I don't want to forget anything...then you'll have my notes as a backup too! LOL My nut class is on Tuesday morning (the day before my surgery!), my Upper GI is tomorrow am, and Monday morning I have to go to Baylor for pre-admitting...My job is going to kill me! LOL
