denied once trying again
Hello all,
Its been awhile since I have been on.
I went through the whole process in 2007, I mean every thing, then BCBS denied, stating my comorbids were being controlled with meds and my bmi was under forty.
Well since then I have had two screw and a pin put in my ankle.
My Bmi is forty.
This friday I go back to the rhumatoligist regarding arthritis, (joint pain), and I am asking him to give me a referral letter.
My question is will I have to go through every thing all over again like, like the phyc exam, three dietians visit and so forth?
my insurance is the same with the exception that I have not only my insurance but I have my husbands also so I have double.
any help would be great.

I have BCBS of TX and they denied my first appeal. But happy to say that as of last Thursday they approved my second appeal. Now the thing with your requirements pre-op, those are only good for a year. If it has been longer you will have to do all the pre-op exams again. SORRY!
Hope this helps!

Adriana,
Thank you for your response and your encouraging words.
Good luck with your surgery I wish you the best.
Your on your way! Congratulations.
I am hoping my rhumatoligist will give me the referal since joint pain is a comorbid and isnt being controlled with meds.
so we will see.
Thanks again.
