How are you holding up? In the calm, serene state of mind, or bouncing off the walls like I am?
I want the surgery to be done so bad, but yet, still have some of the fear!
2 weeks from now it will be all over.... wow!

Quite a lot of fear here, but I am more afraid what will happen if I don't go through with it......I am wanting to spend money I don't have on all kinds of protein stuff but I am trying to limit myself....I want the surgery to be over also and it will be soon as I go on the 15th of Dece. I have started making my list of stuff I need to get at the store for me, as well as, preparing meals for my family. (I will not be cooking for a Long while after surgery) Good Luck to you, I hope all is uneventful for you and I will see you on the losers bench........

I've been going crazy with this pre opt diet.  so hungry all the time.  almost gave up but I knew I HAD to do this for my health.  So, let's stick this out, and meet up with each other on the other side on the losers bench!!!
Good Luck,
Molly

 JJ,
I hear ya about the fear, I have had a few doubts, negative people don't help either. I still have last minute shopping  and a few appointments to do next week, eye, hair, etc. and then it will be the 15th, yeah!!!!! The doctor that I work for is letting me have someone come in to help me next week so I can be all caught up, isn't that sweet!
To tell you the truth what gets me thru all this is this website, everyone is wonderful and supportive . I love my December  pre ops!!!!
hugs -n- prayers,
Brenda

Hey there! I just said in another post one day I am good the next I am ready to call the Dr and say forget it.
I agree with Brenda, this site gets me through.
13 days for you and you will be on the losers bench I go a day ahead of you.
How is chantix going? I went back to my doc Monday and he started me on it.
I am ready to be on the other side. Everybody I talk to says they worried for nothing, and I keep reminding myself of this.
I have all my shopping done and decorations up, not sure when they will come down lol I may be a redneck woman this year hehe  Again everyone keeps asking why am I doing this so close to Christmas and I said that I was ready and that was the date they gave me so I am thrilled. At least  I won't have to worry about getting my gorls up for school for a couple of weeks.
2 weeks  WE CAN DO THIS I know we can

I am having some fears, my surgery is on Dec 19, and I know I want to do it, but there are times where I think that I could still lose it on my own if I ate better and exercised more... and losing 5 lbs in the last three days didn't help, and the only thing I did different was all the walking between the parking garage and the hospital. Ahhh..... I hate nerves, wish I could turn them off.

Meet the Surgeon Aug 1, 2011 .... hopefully the surgeons office is right and everything will go fast and I'll have surgery later this month.

I think I pretty much have everything ready to go. I will be staying at my mom's for a couple weeks so no worries about cooking.
I got all my financial stuff (will, life insurance. etc) updated and gave my sister copies of it all. Morbid I know, but you just gotta keep all your ducks in a row.
The smoking thing has been tough but I am still on the band wagon, just hope I can stay on it after my surgery, sure would be stupid to start back up.
In case I don't catch some of you before your surgeries I wish you all the best and will be counting on each of you to hold my place on the bench open.
Oh, and Happy Holidays too!!

Honestly, I am so scared/excited it isn't funny. I just want the whole surgery behind me. I have this whole fear that somethings going to happen and they'll end up canceling it or rescheduling, which would be awful.

Good luck to everyone though, I can't wait to "see" everyone on the other side!
