Anyone else scheduled for Dec 8th?

Hi all!

This is my first post but I have lurked for quite awhile.  I kind of felt like if I posted before it was a sure thing I would jinx myself! 

I'm scheduled for the 8th for lap RNY and I'm nervous, excited, and totally ready to get this done!

I too have a surgery date for Dec. 08, 2008.  Going to Dr today for the pre-op visit. have already done the pre-op at hospital. Now just hoping nothing happens to change my date.

Mine too is Dec 8th.   VSG for me at 11:00 am.  I see you are in Ohio, I am too.  Dr Lane is my surgeon.  Good luck to you and all December dates.

Mine is also on the 8th of December.  It has all happened so fast for me...I went in to talk to my PCP on October 27 - just to get information, and here I am having it in 5 days! 

I'm also nervous, excited, and ready to have this done and get into a new life!

Hi All.....

I was scheduled for Dec 8th but was cancelled due to my sugar levels were too high. The doctor said that I can do the surgery in 6 weeks.  Doctor feels that the numbers will be better then.

Wow! David that is a bummer.  I think that I would go crazy..lol But six weeks will fly by and you will be better off health wise for surgery.  Good luck to you!

I'm dec 8th too.  likely 7:30 am.  I am mostly nervous but trying to keep a positive attitude.  Good luck to all of us, and may our recoveries be speedy and as pain free as possible!
