Had surgery 22 hours agp
I am glad that you are feeling better. I am not a diabetic and I feel very fortunate that I am not. It is bad enought having high blood pressure and sleep apnea. I am really looking forward to (hopefully) being rid of those.
I am hoping that I get it done laproscopicly. What was the reason you had it done "open"? How long is your recovery period? I hate morphine and will get off of that ASAP if they put me on it at all. Keep me informed with everything. I can't wait to hear that you show no signs of diabetes!

I am so lucky to not had had to deal with high blood pressure or sleep apnea yet. Just type II diabetes. I'd had a lot of other medical problems -- bad infections and stuff. In the past two years I have had a total hysterrectomy, appendectomy, gall bladder, colon leak, panniculectomy (my pannus had become infected). Because of all of the infections I had to have an open procedure because of all of the adhesions and scar tissue. I'm feeling pretty good though. I don't feel like anything is out of order. I am VERY tired though. It's a bummer thinking about doing this during Xmas time, but if the way I feel today is any indication, I have no desire or interst in food anyway. Please excuse the crazy typing (morphine)...
Geez, it sounds like you went through a lot. Other than what I mentioned, I have been really healthy. I have gotten very lazy due to my weight. I have a desk job and I got very sedintary and fatter. ugh. I hope you heal quickly with out any problems. I will let you rest and not ask too many questions until you are up to it. Get some rest....
