husband not so happy

My husband is doing his best to be supportive, but he's definitely scared about the surgery.  I worry about him because he has gained weight since we got married last year and I'm concerned about his health as well.  I don't want my decision to have this surgery make him pull away from me... he told me that he'd rather be dead than to not be able to eat what he wants in whatever quantity. 

I told him that this decision was about me - I love him no matter what.  So I hope that me becoming a healthier stronger person is a good thing for both of us and our marriage.  I think we've got a pretty strong foundation so that's why I feel safe to do this.  My health is important to both of us!!
