December 15th is the big day!!!

Hi. I am fairly new to these forums but I am excited to share that I have a December 15th surgery date to have my RNY. I am soooo ready and a little bit scared but it will be such a wonderful Christmas present. I welcome any advice you may have for me about surgery and recovery.

If not that is fine! I wish you well.  It's nerve racking and exciting all wrapped in one. 

How long do you think you will stay out of work?  I am hoping to work from home on week 2 and 3 .  I think it will help to have it done around the holidays because my work is slower that time of your AND I will have some extra days off due to holidays and not have to use an unpaid holiday pay.

Would love to have an online buddy to go through this with. I am a stay-at-home single mother of three so I don't have the returning to work issue but I think returning to full time mom will be hard enough. So what about the surgery scares you? What time is your surgery scheduled for?

We have something in common, my surgery date is also December 15th.  I don't have any advice, but I think being a little bit scared just means you realize what is at stake.  I look forward to comparing notes as we go through this process.

Do any of you have to do a liquid diet b4 surgery?  I am so worried about that part.
