December 2 surgery date
Hi gang and welcome ladybug... how is everyone doing? Time is approaching quickly huh!! Well get this.. I just got home and heard a message on my machine from the gastroentonoligist saying my biopsy came back normal and good luck with my surgery!! what the hell!!! after i am told he will not clear me for surgery now its good luck!!
and TODAY of all days, I cancelled my appt with the surgeon for tomorrow and cancelled my dec 1 surgery.. I WANT IT BACK!!! I will call tomorrow again, but think i will have to stick to my new date of January 12th which is not that awful, but what a pain in the butt!!
Ok, i vented.. glad to see you are all hanging in there.. I am so excited for all of us..

Good day everybody: Life is a peach; it has its PITS! Well that peach assignment working at home went poof. They called and canceled the position and they put me back on the traveling install team. I have sent an email to my current boss and he hasn't responded. I am going to try to get them to lay me off so I can collect unemployment.
My surgeon's paperwork say start liquid diet 2 weeks out but he told me 10 days at my pre-op. i will split the difference and start Thursday.

Well I had my last pre-op meeting today and thought that everything was going to go ok for once...HA no such luck.
I told them I wanted the bypass in the beginning and they ended up putting down for lap band, I had to get it straight with them and my insurance co.
Well, i thought that's what had happened, but today I went in to sign my surgery permit and damn if they didn't have lap band down on it again!
Then to top it off the lady who does the scheduling etc. for the surgeon was on some sort of "leave" so she wasn't available to straighten it out....The girl in the office told registration that if I wanted to change my surgery I would have to re-submit it to my insurance co! I said damnit! I have already done that!
The lady in registration said that they will have it fixed by the 2nd and it won't stop the surgery. I am going to come off the table at the Dr. if he comes in and asks me what kind of band I want....LOL
I did call my insurance co. though and asked them what procedure they had as being approved and they told me the gastric bypass. So now if the doctors office can get their paperwork right i'll be happy.
Oh, and MORE good news, my sister is sick and running a fever, she hasn't been to the doctor to get any antibiotics so the dr. ofc told me not to go there for Thanksgiving.
I hope that the surgery goes better than today....LOL

Candy your too funny!! get off the table if the doc asks you what kind of band.. GOD i laughed out loud!! That sucks.. some of these doctors offices are nuts..

i almost wigged out on the lady.. so once again, i call the surgeons office and said please jan 13th and i am not budging from there..
so hopefully all is ok.. i will have my pre admission tests on jan 7th and my final consent visit with the surgeon on the 7th as well..
i am now counting the days again and looking forward to starting my NEW YEARS off on a much lighter foot!!! LOL
please do keep a journal and fill us in.. i will be anxiously awaiting to hear from you..

Yeah, I was really upset at the time. I even emailed the surgeons office and told them that it has been one screw up after the other with them. I am almost afraid that they will try to give me a vasectomy....LOL I'd love to see that....
I told my mom that if he came in on the 2nd and asked me what band I wanted I was going to jump off the table and choke his ass with my IV tubes....LOL
I did get a call from the surgeons office today and they told me that everything is fixed with the paperwork....hmmmm....sure would like to believe that....again.

your funny..I hope for your sake the paperwork is all fixed, just make sure before they put you on drugs and under that you are clear as to what type of surgery they will perform...i would hate for an error to happen and you have to suffer!!

Yoly sorry to hear you have to wait until January, but that will be here before you know it. I am doing medifast for my liquid diet. I had done it in the past and had some left over. I am going to have to get something else because I will not have enough to make it the full two weeks. Good news is that I am down 5lbs. Someone told me about a protein drink at Trader Joe's I am going to get tomorrow and see how that works.

Well its official I join the VERY large group of unemployed today. I had no choice. wither to stay employed and not get paid until mid January or take unemployment.
I don't know which are louder in my stomach nervous butterflies or my hunger growls! I have been assured that the hunger pains will soon disappear.
My wife says my butt is getting smaller (it don't strain the pants anymore). The thing I notice the most is my man boobs are shrinking
. I use to compete with my wife who needed a bra more! (She is a D cup)

Hey Frank and Michelle, glad you are all hanging in there.. Frank sorry about the job situtation these times are really tough for everyone.. I bet once you have your surgery a whole new life will begin for you and the universe will have an excellent surprise for you regarding employment, just think positive and remember you will have a new body and a new career!!
