I forgot to do my PSY evaluation and it took me long time, since April 4.  I got my sch of Dec. 1, 2 weeks ago.. I can't wait. I've ran into people who are years post op and it is well worth it.  It is life changing extreme for first two years but after that the women I spoke with haven't had any problems.  They make sure they consume their protein and take their vitamins and minerals..

I also have a December 1st surgery date for my RNY.   After my long journey this year it will finally pay off.  Good luck to everyone with their upcoming surgeries.

Hi Gang,

I am scheduled for Dec 1st as well.  I tried getting approved last year in Florida, but my insurance would not go for it.  I just moved to New York this year and have new insurance, it was pretty quick for me.  I went on October 1st and met with the surgeon and staff and after all  my tests and evaluations are done, I should be good to go on Dec 1st.

Lets hope there are no hiccups along the road!! I am also excited to have some friends to chat with along the road.

keep in touch and take care

Hi Everyone,

My surgery is scheduled for late December, is there anyone out there also going in about this time?
Yes, everyday is a personal battle. Have never had surgery so, am unsure of what to expect. I understand the first few weeks are the most difficult?

Hi I am scheduled for Dec 1st.  I am excited and nervous also.  As long as your evaluation tests come back ok, you should not have any problems.  Surgery is always scary, but you will do great.

this is a great website for support.

keep in touch.

Hello;

I am scheduled to have a Panniculectomy on Dec 1st at 1 PM. Later on I will have a DS; I am nervous but anxious as I have never had any kind of surgery. But Dr. Anthone says this is the way to go as it should help me got out of my wheelchair and start walking. I really want to get back to my water walking. But I really have a lot of faith in Dr.Anthone I think he is one of the best. Good luck to everyone on their own personal journeys.

God Bless

That's great to have the Penneculectomy first. It will help you so much, when u have WLS. Good luck.
